Wow! I never heard of this before. You learn something new every day. I know vets are brilliant and went to school, etc....but sometimes they are just set in their ways. Great job in standing up for what you believe in.

Just wanted to update...
All of Mackensie's tests were normal, like I predicted they would be but just needed to be absolutely sure! I started feeding 3-4 times per day, and am also feeding more than usual, and no more head tremors! The last was Monday morning, and she's been fine since. Hopefully, we can prevent them from coming back by feeding more and more often.

Yay! Glad to hear Mackensie's doing so well :) All of the testing and worrying is worthwhile to have your baby back in good health.

I know how scary this can be! Tyson started having head tremors several months ago. It lasted for about 4 days and *knock on wood* he hasn't had one since. The look on his face is what broke my heart because I couldn't explain to him everything was going to be OK. I went to the vet as well as the neurologist and they diagnosed him with idiopathic head tremors. The neurologist had offered to do an MRI and spinal tap, but she was so insistent that it'd come back normal that I didn't go through with them. She assured me that they are not harmful and he is not in pain during an episode. Go figure the day after seeing the neurologist, he's been fine. Tyson started out as having them up and down as if he were nodding yes, but the very last one I witnessed his head was shaking side to side like he was saying no. One thing I noticed over the 4 days this happened is the tremors started about medium intensity, got up to a high intensity (meaning his lips were flapping hard as his head was shaking) and then started lowering in intensity.

Abby also had head tremors that went away when I increased the frquency of her meals.

Funny. From the time she was whelped until I picked her up at the breeders I was calling her Mackenzie. I switched it on the ride home. Cannot remember why now....

You should have her thyroid check, another boxer friend of mine was having head tremors and it was because of his thyroid. Just something you could have checked out.
