Boxer Pal
My boxer boy, Tyrone (5yrs) has just been diagnosed with lymphoma. This started back in August when a few of the nodes in his neck were swollen, but now all are hardened (painless), though he is still actiing like his old, silly self! Have done a lot of research on various vet med school's websites and prognosis is never good it seems. We are about to start chemo next week with a single agent (doxorubicin), hoping to put him into remission for awhile.
Anyone have any experience with this?
I have 8 boxers (all rescues!), including an 8 yr old male (Prince)with a suspicious mass next to his lung that a thoracic surgeon won't touch. So far he's doing better on prednisone, but I know I will probably lose him in this next year. Two at once is devastating. We just lost our first to cancer last Feb.
Any info or advice will be greatly appreciated.
(Need to change my handle to "eight is enough"!
Thanks Jae
