Hi All,
I just wanted to post a message here to give you all updates on Troy (6yr old reversed brindle boy). Some may have seen my intro message the other day, but for those that did not.
I found BW while doing a search for lymphoma. 2 weeks ago, Troy started acting funny. Drinking alot more water, and he had a pee accident in the house, which he has not done since he was fixed years ago. That morning I took him to the vet and she gave him a complete work-up.
His lymp-nodes where enlarged and she suspected lymphoma. We had him tested a few days later we got the results to confirm it.
My wife and I weighted to options and discussed things, but with a new baby in the house it is difficult to commit to chemotherapy.
So last night we started his dosage of Prednisone, twice daily with food. After a couple of treatments, it seems like his appetite is coming back, because for the first time in a week he started playing with his food...
So as of now this is where we stand. I will try and give everyone updates on his condition and how we are all doing. I must say this, although we know he has lymphoma, it is amazing that he still the active dog he has always been. He still loves to run and play ball, mess with the kids and sprint to the end of the property and back...
Speak to you all soon.
