Lots of Sneezing!

I posted very similar question about dog catching cold. After searching on the internet, I was informed that it was not possible. My dog sneezed a lot last week and produced white mucus each time. I was told by someone that I should put a t-shirt on him when he goes to bed as the air-conditioned room might be too cold for him and I did and still do. It seems the sneezing with white mucus is gone. But it might be allergy as well that you might want to consider.
Well the last 2-3 days Zeus has been sneezing more than I've ever seen. He pops off the bed in the middle of the night and starts sneezing. In the middle of the day the same thing, this has just started recently.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!
Tyson had a similar problem a month or so ago. Turned out he had one of those little floating plant seeds stuck in one of his nostrils. Vet ended up sedating him to remove it
