Lost my best friend (sorry, long)

Thanks everyone, for all your support. This is the most devastating loss of my life, but my friends and neighbors have all rallied around me and have been fantastic. I've even gotten to spend some time getting to know some of Michael's friends from earlier in his life and they are all incredible people! Michael surrounded himself with good people and that is why he always loved our neighborhood so much. This past Saturday, several friends and neighbors came over and not only helped me finish my brick patio that Michael and I had started, but they helped me start AND finish a sidewalk that we hadn't gotten started on! In 6 hours! By myself, it would have been a daunting task, but it didn't even seem like work with all my friends there. I am so incredibly relieved that it is done, and better yet, I know Michael would be very proud of me.

I am sorry for your loss. I bet Micheal was very proud of you when you finished the project the two of you had started. I hope you find peace.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Perhaps you could ingrave some sort of memorial for Michael in the sidewalk so you'll always be reminded of him. Sometimes it's comforting to do things like that when loved one's pass away.
I hope that you can remember him always.

Sorry for the loss of such a wonderful friend. Watch the dogs I'm sure he will come and visit and they will be sure to let you know your friend has come back to see you. What a sad story. I hope your heart heals soon.

Gretchen, My condolences to you and your loved ones that lost a wonderful friend and relative in Michael. With the relationship you two had you can bet he's keeping a watchful eye on you and is still right there with you. I'm sure he even helped you finish that sidewalk! I am very sorry to hear about Michael. I know it's hard to lose someone especially suddenly. In the last year or so, My boyfriend died (but luckily we had a miracle and he was able to be brought back), a friend of mine drowned while swimming in a quarry (it was very devastating because the news showed very graphic footage of the searchers finally finding him and struggling to get him into the boat-tugging on his foot to pull him in) a co-worker was murdered and a long time friend of the family died suddenly of the flu. So I know what you're going through and I send you my best wishes to help you through this time.
