My former employer had a Boxer, and he and his wife got divorced. They did the joint-custody thing for a while, but then the ex-wife moved away. I'm so sorry for your situation. I can't imagine how difficult it is for you.
My ex-boyfriend has a little dog that I just adore. I hadn't seen her in a couple of years, it was just too stressful to deal with my ex. Lucy was diagnosed with osteosarcoma about seven weeks ago, and her right hind leg was amputated. Last week she was having trouble breathing, so Brian took her in to the vet. Her chest radiographs showed tumors filling her chest. I was supposed to see her today, but I'm on call and ended up being in surgery from 10 AM until around 6:30 PM. I don't know if I'll get to see her before I have to go out of town on Wednesday, and I know she won't be alive when I get back. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I really regret not putting up with my ex in the past to see Lucy, because now it's too late. I lost two years with a terrific little dog, and now she's dying. Spend every possible moment with Memphis. I don't know your exact situation, but is there any way you can take him with you at some point?
