How wonderful!!! I am glad to hear you have a new addition to your family. It warms my heart to hear that you didn't return your baby upon discovering his hearing loss. My babies have selective hearing, so I don't think there is too much difference in training. Post lots of pics for us!!!

yes they may come with some sort of "Baggage" but don't people as well????

I think if you can work through the baggage you will find the most amazing thing at the root.

A relationship that will be based on love... deep rooted love! You have saved him/her from at least the feeling of being abandoned if not worse... His dog is going to love you with something a dog you get from a breeder doesn't know about.

If you have the time and the love to give... rescue in my opinion is the way to go. It will be my avenue when my baby meets the rainbow bridge if I can ever get over him going. (still have lots of time he is only three) just anothers opinion.

What ever you decide I'm sure we will all rejoice in and be awaiting pics of the new addition to your family.

Congrats on your new baby. I'm sure you will have a wonderful time raising him and watching him grow. It sounds like you went through quite an ordeal with that Akita--I can only imagine how brave you must be to trust dogs again--even with the knowledge that each animal is different and what one may do another may not. appicon CONGRATS!!!!!! You are going to so love owning a boxer, once you have a boxer you'll never go back to another breed. I don't think I will ever own anything but a boxer again.

They are the most affectionate loving breed you are just going to love your new baby!

Congrats on getting your Sid. Nice name ( reminds me of Sid Barret of Pink Floyd). It is very nice of you to rescue him. Both my rescues are/were wonderful. Draco was a great dog. Very mild temperament and calm. From his behaviour I assume he was not abused but neglected. And Argos also has a wonderful personality. They are so full of love and affection. All the best.
