Wow a lot of good information. I think I am going with a HD tube tv as was at Best Buy and another gentleman was looking at TV as he just had an LG LCD TV that he brought back that was DOA. As with any technology the price will lower but I want reliability. Sharp is rated high as far as reliability but the picture is lacking, probably will go with a Toshiba as I have had one in the office for 8 years with no problem and it is on a lot. Any more advice would be appreciated.

Just thought I would let everyone know that I finally bought a 30 inch Samsung HD with built in tuner it is the CRT and the picture is fantanstic as is the sound. The hd over the air is stunning as is the picture what I like is that there where no issues with set up had it up and running in 10 minutes. Retailed for 899.00 paid 649.00 plus Tx at CC. Did not buy extended warranty. It has a year parts and labor and 2 years on tube. Thanks for all your help.

Still waiting for the bulb to come in for my LCD. Apparently it will not come in until March 3rd so it looks like I will likely be returning the tv as that is just ridiculous! No tv for a month? I mean I have a 4000.00 paperweight in my living room! I had it out with the store manager and she is supposed to get back to me Monday and if it can't be resolved they are picking this tv up and taking it back! I am so angry!

Christa that's absurd!! I'm sorry you're having such a hard time, especially after spending so much on the TV. What store did you purchase it from?

I can't blame the store as it really is the tv that is too blame since the part is on back order (what does that tell you!) and we recently met a guy who's tv did this two times in 7 mos and they let him bring it back as obviously new technology isn't always good technology at first. It is a shame as it is a great tv :( but I will not be replacing this bulb every few months! Not happening!
