Kroa - The new park is GREAT!!!! I've seen people bring puppies there, and I haven't seen any real aggresive dogs, but of course you have to constantly be on the lookout. They just have so much more room to run compared to Cedar Creek.
Earlier this week, I met Randy and his boxer Max there. I knew them from this board and met them last year at Cedar Creek.
I read in Newsday, that they are looking into opening several more dog parks in Suffolk County soon!!! Yey!!
I'll probably be at West Hills tomorrow afternoon (if the weather is okay) before the Nor'easter on Sunday, if you want to try it out.

Ray, nice to have seen you at the run. Bridget looks great. Max broke off one of his nails down to the quick so his running will have to be confined to the back yard til it starts to heal. Hope bridget enjoys her day tomorrow. Hope to see you guys soon.

Hey all...when's the next meet up? Susan and I have been out of it for a long while due to her being pregnant. She gave birth to our beautiful daughter, Sydney on Feb 23rd.

At the time she was pregnant we got another boxer to keep Fred company. She's a white boxer named Gracie. Gracie is almost 11 months old.

We all went to Cedar Creek a few times but Fred became a little protective. I've heard about Boxers becoming more protective around younger pups and especially their pregnant human mom. I had to break up a few scuffles but nothing major. Fred is just the ultimate family dog. Everytime the baby cries he's right there. He doesn't want to be outside too long as he doesn't want to lose track of what's going on with the baby or mom or me. It's cute.

I'd love to bring him to a bash but if not one can understand his extra bit of protection then I won't. He's such a wonderful boy. He loves everyone, it's just on the wee occasion that another dog does something to push a button.

We take both pups to Doggie Day care and have never had a complaint about Fred being aggressive. We ask time and time again but all they have is praise. Actually the owners and workers love him and Gracie and refer to them as the 'nubbins'. They say all the dogs get into scuffles at times and you just have to be there to break it up...then they go back to playing. They understand about Fred and his little behavioral change but the people at Cedar Creek, especially the ones with the PRIZE dogs do not.

I would like to have your thoughts on this as I would love for us to join a future bash. But if you guys feel we shouldn't, the last thing I would want is for anyone to feel uncomfortable.

We miss seeing everyone including Max (Randy and Patti), Lennox, Thor, CJ, etc.

Hopefully we will see you guys soon at West Hills.
