we frequently met at cedar creek park in wantagh off merrick rd.congratulations on the beautiful puppy but she looks a little small.how much does she weigh.as you know boxers play rough.i wouldnt want her to get hurt .i would love to meet again with some boxers its a blast.i would prefer only a boxer meeting though because when we go to the park other dog owners dont realize boxers are very playfull.the misread them and say its aggression.thats rare an aggressive boxer.i got a mush in tough clothes.ok hope to here from u guys .

Hello, I also would like a "Boxer only meeting". I have taken Deisel to a Dog run several times and I always end up getting upset and leaving. I don't think boxers are very welcome at the dog runs on long island, but we will definetely be attending the boxer meetup at petco this saturday.

The petco meetup is definite for tomorrow, but I am not aware of any enclosed parks where dogs are allowed other than the dog runs. Does anyone have any ideas? I would also like to take Deisel to either a lake or beach to go swimming once the weather gets a little warmer...but where on long island can a dog go swimming?

There is an old mansion in Huntington called Coindre Hall that is on the water and dogs are free to go swimming there. I went last summer and it was great, however I heard some politicians are trying to close it down (for dogs) and there is a group trying to fight it. If you google Coindre Hall you will find the dog owners association that is involved and you can even sign a petition online to try to keep it open for dogs.

lenox has a vet appt tommorow at 10am. he is getting his vaccinations for the year.i think for us sunday would be better to get together because i dont know how he is gonna feel after the shots.i am excited to have a boxer day.

I found out some more info on the Petco's Meet and Greet in Levittown.... It's from 2-4PM on Saturday March 24th.

The Petco is located on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown.

We are definitely gonna attend and are so excited. We hope to see you all there. We can also set up future play dates!

ohhhhhhh wow i am an idiot. I did not notice there was a second page on the thread i posted. I thought no one like me :(. We definitely gotta get a meeting going soon.
