Has anyone ever seen a long hair boxer? My little baby boy has long hair not real long but longer. I was curious if anyone has ever seen this before in a boxer.

This is a picture of my baby its hard to see his longer hair in this picture but if you look at his ears you can see it. I will try to find a better picture if anyone has ever seen this before let me know thanks.

I believe the standard for a boxer's coat is " short, smooth, shiny and tight to the body."

I met a "long haired boxer" at the park a while back. Turns out she's part lab. :D

Thats what is so unique about my boy both his parents were Boxers no mix at all, all his charecteristics are boxer charecteristics
his stance, head, markings and chest. I will try to find a better picture than the one a posted in the previous post thanks for your reply.

The boxer I met was exactly the same way. Looked like a boxer, except the texture and length of her coat.

I'd be suspicious that somewhere along the line another breed is involved.

I understand (and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong), that a litter of puppies can have more than one sire.

Gretel has longer hair than most boxers, but I'm not entirely convinced she's purebred. That said, I wouldn't discount the possibility that a longhaired purebred boxer could result from either a spontaneous mutation or a rare recessive gene.

Completely Boxer Crazy
I agree that a boxer doesn't have to be "mixed" with anything to have a longer coat. While it is common for North American bred boxers to have very short coats, I have heard that some lines from the UK tend to produce boxers with longer hair.

I'm not talking golden retriever long, just longer that of the average North American boxer.
