Evolvedn2, how old is your pup? Some boxer pups have slightly longer hair. My Tina, for example, had quite long hair when she was a pup, now she has 'normal' coat.
I also heard that boxers from English bloodlines tended to have longer hair.
I think, no need to worry :)

Thanks for the replies Frankie is about 2 years old now and his hair is still long about like Sharon's baby ,who is cute as can be,it's 1.5 -2.0 inches long. Except on his ears it may be 3 inches long it seems that everyone thinks he may be from UK bloodlines.
I pasted a couple more links that shows his hair a little better I'm gonna try to get a picture of him up that is more recent. Either way I really appreciate everyone comments.

Does the longer hair make the fur softer?

Yogi has slightly longer hair than what Shoko had, and Yogi's fur feels much smoother - especially the tips of his ears, those are real smooth, they feel sooo nice when you rub them between against the space between your upper lip and your nose.

I was just wondering if the softness of Yogis fur in relation to Shoko was because of his longer her, or maybe it had something to do with the fact that Yogi is white?

Frankie's coat is very soft so maybe the two are connected somehow. It's just like you said about his ears they are so soft and that's where his hair is the longest. Don't you just love the smell of their ears. Yogi is a beautiful boxer. I check out your link
I love white boxers. Who am I kidding I just love boxers period.

I couldn't help but notice that Rebel lived to 13! Any special secrets?

I love the feeling of the soft ears but who else likes the wiskers right above the lips? It tickles when they're giving kisses!

Rebel went to the Rainbow Bridge about 4 months after that pic was taken - he was 13.5 :( Unfortunatley he had cancer, Lymphosarcoma :( Mind you we were fortunate that until he developed cancer he had no other health problems. Bo and Tess both lived to 14.5 and I feel very blessed that we were able to share thier lives for so many years, but it still hurts and I wish they did not have to leave us. We just enjoy every single day they are with us :)
