I love Vegas too.....wish I could stay live there!!

I'll be there next month - can't wait! It's my second time, my BF's first. Actually, our trip is the only reason we've put off adopting from rescue - I didn't want to bring a dog home only to leave him/her right away! :(

That is understandable. I wouldnt want to bring home a new baby just to leave it. It would not only be hard on me but hard on the new baby. Congrats on the new baby and have a great trip!

I want to go there someday so bad! I grew up in Reno/Carson City and NEVER went to Vegas!!! Argghh...someday though!

I went to Vegas during my "spring break" time in college and had the best time of my life. There is just so much to do and the city just never stops. I found myself saying up to 7 every night/morning just playing blackjack/ roulette/ and texas hold `em

great time. Hope things go well for you. And like in the previous post, the fountains at the bellagio are awesome, you can sit out there and watch them forever becuase they have so many different shows.

I Love Vegas and have been there tons of times. Don't let anyone fool you,,,, Vegas is NOT cheap!!!!! Not at least if you like to gamble or go to shows. But it is fun, and if you gamble moderately and go to one or two shows it is no more expensive than any other trip. I go every year with one of my friends ( girls weekend away,,, also not sure if any of you remember but when I went last April husband turned mason blue LOL) Anyhow, the mirage has a nice pool and just be sure to pace yourself. One thing I always tell people is "it is farther than you think". The hotels look like they are close together but wait till ya walk'em!!! Casinos you MUST see:
Here are some things I'd reccomend:

Go to alladin, I think it is the coolest looking casino
Take a ride at Venetian, very romantic
Go to "old vegas" ( any cab driver will know hot to take you there) they have an amazing light show, casinos, usually live entertainment, plus it is a fun night for walking around and not spending money if you don't want to)
Eat once at Bellagio's buffet==== best in town!

LOVE VEGAS!!! We would love to get back soon...All I have to say is if you like seafood there is a seafood buffett at The Rio...Really fun Casino too...We had a BLAST there...Only bad thing is it's off the strip but a quick cab ride away! Definitely check it out if you like to do a little partying...

I just got back from Vegas last Wednesday. I LOVE Vegas! We stayed at the Venetian - beautiful hotel. Be sure to check out "old Las Vegas" around dusk. The really old hotels are there and they're under this metal canopy. At dark they turn off all the outdoor casino lights - and show this incredible laser light show on the ceiling of the canopy. Also check out the really big hotels if you have time.....Bellagio (they have an gorgeous fountain show at night until midnight) New York- New York, The Luxor, Excalibur, MGM Grand, and Mandalay Bay. I would take a cab to see NY-NY, Luxor, etc. A walk to one of these casinos at this end of the strip is a LONG walk in Vegas (even between each hotel) On our last day there we rented a car and drove out to Hoover Dam. All I can say it WOW, it was worth seeing. Have a great time and tell us all about it when you get back!! I want to go back tomorrow!

Hubby and I love Vegas. I actually bought all of Caesar's accessories with some cash I won there--hence his name. Another cool thing to do is indoor sky diving-it's off the strip but wow what an experience! We love going out in the summer (I love the heat!) I wasn't thrilled with the weather when we went in March (too cool IMO). Helicopter ride is worth every penny although they are no longer allowed to land on the Canyon floor for a picnic. What pictures! Mystere is a great show. Blue Man Group is good too. Enjoy! If you can't have a good time in Vegas you'll never be able to have a good time anywhere!

How far in advance did you book your trip to Vegas? We are planning late March - late April. I was gonna wait till January to book it, wondering if that is enough time. Just wondering. Thanks.
