Mugsy turned 5 last week!
Hi everyone! I hope all of our friends are having a great summer. Mugsy celebrated his 5th birthday Sunday.
I had been holding out until his birthday to update, but had to wait for the server change to be completed.
Anyhow, my sweet man is doing well. He had a check-up 3 weeks ago and our vet was thrilled to see the progress Mugsy has made. His left paw continues to become more flexible and is SO close to landing on its pad. The right is still tight and bent under. He stands a lot more, wrestles with Shadow, and travels all over the yard. We are still going to swim, acupuncture and cranial-sacral.
Mugs had a UTI--of course it surfaced on a Sunday, so he had to go to the emergency clinic, but he is feeling much better now. Shadow had a small lump removed from his chest a week prior; it was benign (phew!). Our vet said if he were any other breed, he would have left it alone and had us watch it. You all know how that goes!
Thankfully, our story continues and things are still looking good. I couldn't be happier.

This is sooo wonderful!! It is so great to hear how well Mugsy is doing...We all know what you guys have all been through and how hard you have worked with Mugsy! Keep the updates coming as Mugsy is always in our thoughts. I am sure Shadow is happy to have his wrestling buddy back!!

Mugsy wants to thank everyone for caring so much about him and being such a great source of information and support. He got a raised bed, a new winter coat with matching boots, and some treats for his birthday. He also had filet mignon for his birthday dinner, compliments of his Grandpa. Spoiled, yes, but so very deserving. He's always polite and never bratty!
