Just thinking about Mugsy and wondering how everything was going since Tellington Touch and cranial sacral therapy. Your story and devotion are so touching and I'm keeping you in my thoughts daily...Hope more good news is to come.

He took my spot on the couch!

Hey all. Mugsy had his second session today and he is pooped out! She worked on him for 90 minutes. He had a good week, and a busy weekend ahead: cranial sacral today, acupuncture tomorrow, and swim Sunday. I'm sure he will be very happy when we go to work on Monday and leave him alone on one of his many beds. The cranial sacral therapy is so interesting. His therapist touches him and every part of his body responds! Maybe tomorrow will yield great results like last week's session did. Thanks for your concern and support--I will keep all of you posted.

Allison-
I have just read this entire thread word for word and as I sit here crying I would just like to tell you that you are a wonderful and strong person. My heart goes out to you, Matt, Mugsy and Shadow. What a wild ride this has been for you. When backed against the wall it is amazing what we can and will do for our babies. I know you have said (in so many words) that you find strength in Mugsy's strength and determination. I'm sure he does the exact same from you. Please keep updating and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Allison,

I just wanted to say that I hope you and Mugsy have a wonderful weekend checking out the garden again! I think we can all second what Tracy said. There are so many BW members thinking and praying for you guys! Even my DH who DOES NOT share my BW enthusiasm,(doesn't know what he's missing!) but has listened to my "Mugsy stories" has started asking, "So, how's Mugsy today?" whenever he walks in and sees me on BW!! So see, there are even more people thinking and pulling for Mugsy than you could ever know!! LOL!!

Have a great weekend!

Tracy,
Thanks for posting. I know it's become a loooong thread. Sometimes I start at the beginning and read it myself. So many times, the threads in the health forum end abruptly, and sadly. Mugsy and I are determined to change that, and he is doing a great job so far!

Taryn,
Tell DH that Mugsy says, "Hi. I feel good and still hope to meet you at the beach."

Well, we have a small issue right now. Throughout Mugsy's journey, he has scored hair and skin away on the parts of his body that are dragging on the ground. Actually, it's an interesting way to monitor progress. The boo-boos started on his knees and have worked down to the sides of his paws on the left, and now, his toes. We keep him protected with booties and vetwrap when he is outdoors and at swim. The problem is that he scraped his toe and got a sore between two toes over the past week. I had the vet look at him at acupuncture, and he put him on anitbiotics and Animax cream. I'm glad I pointed it out, as an infection at this point would be a real bummer. We have been so careful to keep things clean, medicated, protected and aired-out. The one good thing about Mugsy having so many vets is that I always know I'm going to see one soon, just in case something needs to be looked at! The antibiotics are 3x per day, so hopefully they'll work quickly. I already dug out his Bac-pac powder that is supposed to maintain the good enzymes and bacteria while on the antibiotics, and I got fresh liverwurst yesterday. I'd say we're good to go forward on our next little challenge! smashicon

Thanks again for all the prayers and support--you guys have all been so wonderful to us!
Allison, Mugsy and Shadow:)

Almost a year since it all began

Hey Taryn and lovely Layla. We are status quo--maybe even a little better than that. We are following the same routine, and Mugsy is still a happy chappy, as his daddy would say. He even tries to spin and jump when he feels really great! Hopefully the summer will bring even more good things. I am looking forward to being off with the boys and enjoying some down time after a very challenging year. Maybe we'll get that beach trip in! Thanks for thinking of us. We've been going like mad lately, but all is well.

Allison :)
