Hi Allison,

I had been computer-less at home for about a month now and we are forbidden to use the internet at work as we are very closely monitored but I just had to risk it everyday to check in on any posts about Mugsy even if I couldn't post myself!! I'm so glad you posted and I'm glad Mugsy is enjoying this wonderful weather and contining with his swimming lessons. I've been a bit emotional myself today and your comment about his picture made the tears flow as I hugged my "baby" who's big mug is resting on my laptop as I type this. I pray that you will have your wish someday. Take care of yourself and please know that your friends at BW are still thinking and praying for Mugsy.

I am so glad to hear that Mugsey is enjoying the nice weather. I am glad that he is getting around better and enjoying his swimming lessons. I know he will be running again as he did as a pup.

I am new to BW and read your story. WOW...you are a devoted family and Mugsey is a lucky dog. I really hope things are getting better for you all. My prayers are with yall as Mugsey continues on the path to recovery.

Hey Guys! Thanks for your concern. Mugsy is doing really well. He is really trying to get that left paw to fall under him correctly. He often hits the tippie-toes, but still not the pad. The right paw is still bent under when he walks, but I think the flexion has improved a little. His chiropractor has retired to NC, so a cranial sacral therapist is coming to the house to see him tomorrow. Swim is going great; we can keep him in the water for a good 15 minutes straight and no laryngeal problems when he comes out. He also put a rottie puppy in his place at the pool 2 weeks ago!
I just booked a three night trip to Florida for my grandmother's 80th birthday, so I'm feeling a little funny about leaving him. My dad will stay with the boys at my house, and they love him, but I've always had a hard time leaving. This time the skin family has to take precedence over the furbabies, so I booked a trip long enough to be worth the money, but short enough to be bearable (I hope!). Even before Mugsy got sick, I would cry as we backed out of the driveway on our way to the airport.
Well, I'm always afraid that touting too much good news will bring about a setback, so I'm shutting up for now!
Thanks so much for checking up on us Cindy. I hope all is well on your end, as well. Tara, thanks for your prayers; I truly believe that is what has kept my sweet guy going strong (and me too!).

I was trolling around on BW tonite and ran across your story.Bless your heart, you & your hubbie are doing such wonderful things with Mugsy, and it sounds like he's being such a trooper!I'll pray that one day he'll have a full recovery, but I know those goods days & that wiggling nub are worth everything ya'll been going through.I am sorry I have no suggestions or words of wisdom to offer, I can only offer my support via cyberspace! But in the meanwhile Herkie, Kuma & myself send ya'll lots of hugs and those sweet boxer kisses!Ya'll hang in there and be strong for that sweet Mugsy angelicon!

Thanks eveyone!

Mugsy had his first Tellington Touch and cranial sacral therapy session yesterday. It was very interesting. When the therapist left, Mugs went outside and napped under the deck, but when I went outside to admire a garden in the far corner of our yard, Mugsy came out and walked all the way to where my hubby and I were! He did this all on his own; we didn't call or coax him. We were looking at the new flowers, and suddenly Mugsy was there with us! It was a good 200 + feet that he walked. He even followed us even further into the yard and the four of us hung out by the hammock. When it was time to go in, Mugsy walked all the way back to the house without stopping. We were very proud of him, especially since this was after he had been at swim in the morning and had his therapy session in the afternoon! Shadow was very excited to have Mugsy out in the yard with us, too. He ran circles around Mugsy like a crazy man. It was great to see. Hopefully we will see even more great things in the days to come! :D

What a long strange trip it has been! Mugsy is lucky to have devoted parents like you & your husband Allison. I am very happy & relieved to hear he is doing well. Give him lots of hugs and kisses from me.
