The only pm was the first one about that you were going to order them. I have not ordered yet. They sounded promising. The most important thing is that Mugsy is with us. I know that's how I felt last year when Delilah was sick and they thought that she had cancer. They were going to have to remove part of her jaw. It was not cancer, just a cyst. The most important thing was that I would still have her. Even if they would have had to remove the jaw.

I am still praying for Mugsy,
Cindy

Oh how absolutely right you are, Cindy! No matter what we've had to do, or how much money we have spent, it has all been worth it to have him with us still and to know that there is still hope for a reversal. He is still liverwurst-obsessed and licks his bowl clean. His little nubby still goes a million miles an hour and he stands on hind legs to hug us when we get home. He still wants to be here, and I am so thankful for that!

This has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to endure. You know you have great friends when they care about your babies as much as you do. A few remarked that they had no idea just how bad off Mugsy is. Our true friends reminded us of why we love them so much. My old friend who had a baby and won't bring him over because of the dogs was not invited--enough said!

I gave Mugsy a shower tonight and I can tell it made him feel good. Someday, when he gets better, I would like to get into a hospital program and take him to share his story, and kisses with others in similar situations.

It is amazing how we can get so close to the furbabies here. We worry about them and pray for them, we love them too. I think only boxer owners have such a close bond that links them together. I know that I cry when I read about a sick or injured boxer. I feel such a love and closeness here, and I have never met anyone in person. It is such a great honor to call the people at BW my friends!

Still praying for you boy,
Cindy

I am a new member but have been glued to Mugsy's story since my husband and I found this article in Sept. We stayed up WAY after our bedtime reading the entire subject and then everyday after checking for updates.
Now that we are finally members I wanted to share my thoughts that I think about Mugsy almost everyday and wish him good health and wish you peace of mind and strength!
I admire you so much for all that you have gone through and still kept a straight positive head!
If you ever need to talk or vent I'm here for you and Mugsy along with the rest of the family!
Sincerely from our family to yours,
Jodi lovicon

Hey everyone! I apologize for being away and not responding. I think the email filter my husband installed must have blocked my BW emails! Hi Jodi--nice to meet you and thanks for your concern. Carrie, Cindy, Mariah and everybody else--we are still hanging in there. We decided to give Prednisone a try because all the great signs of improvement have slowed down. Mugsy's front legs look worse than ever, but he still trucks along like a champ. We saw the neurologist today and she felt that his pupils look more equal than they did in October, but she is fearful that his back legs are starting to weaken. It is a very rainy day here in NJ, and wet weather does make the symptoms worse, so I am hoping I can blame the weather. Matt and I are considering acupuncture. We tried some new supplements called Pet Sun Chlorella, but no change from them so far (4 weeks) and we also changed from Nutro to a holistic food about 2 weeks ago. I love him so much and really hope the miracle comes soon. Please continue sending vibes and prayers; they really help on those days when we feel defeated.

Allison

PS-- I also feel honored to have such amazing, compassionate people in my life. There have been many days when your kind words and support have been responsible for getting me through. Boxers really do make the world go round! Thank you all for being so wonderful! Again, I feel so bad to have been MIA for so long!:o :(

Nice to meet you also. Sorry to here that the rain seems to be making things worse. Good luck with prednisone and the acupuncture. I really hope things start coming together and taking steps forward, if even baby steps! And don't worry about being MIA for so long I'm sure everyone understands that you're taking care of your baby! In the meantime we will be sending our hopeful vibes across the BW lines!
