Laryngeal Paralysis/Collapsed Trachea Anyone?

Thanks Cindy. We need a lot of prayers!
The doctor we saw most recently discovered nerve damage in Mugsy's left paw and leg. He feels that the nerve that runs along the larynx and left side is compromised and that the limping we have observed in the past is related to the airway issue. Over the past few weeks, Mugsy's gait has changed from stiff-legged to floppy-footed. It seems he is slapping his feet on the floor. That is the newly discovered nerve damage at work.
Yesterday, Mugsy had x-rays of his spine and shoulders. Thankfully, no large masses showed up and his heart is actually a bit on the small side. Also, he does have laryngeal paralysis (I'm guessing the anesthesia used in the endoscopy masked it).
This afternoon we are going to the "big" hospital to see a neurologist. We are planning on having an MRI done, just to rule out any tumors and to get a better idea of what is going on.
I would like to know more about Delilah's situation. I've never experienced anything like this. I am very scared about the surgcial aspect. Do you have a BW thread about it?
Thanks again for your response! I can't tell you how much it helps to talk to others about this. My husband and I are scared, frustrated and broken hearted. I hope the big hospital can help us, too!

Thanks Cindy!

We saw a neurologist and orthopedist today. An advanced thyroid test was done. Hypothyroidism would be a tremendous blessing, as it can cause LP and be treated with meds. Orthopedic injury has been ruled out. As of now, we are waiting for blood results before doing anything else. Many paws are crossed here!

Just wanted to let you know we are still thinking about Mugsy.

Let us know when his blood results come back. I hope they can figure somthing out soon. It is so hard/frustrating when you know somthing is wrong and no one can tell you what or how to treat it.

Give your baby a big (((HUG))) from us!!!!!

~Carrie~
