I switched my boxer puppy from eukanuba to kirkland salmon and sweet potato because i prefer grain free for my puppy. I researched alot of different foods and found kirkland to be the most appealing. Its formula had only 2 questionable ingrediants (canola oil, pea protein) My puppy is growing. Is this a good choice or is there a better food out there?

It all depends on your puppy. Every dog is different. You can consult Dog Food Reviews and Ratings | Dog Food Advisor

I recommend 4 - 5 star rated food. Good luck!

I can't barely get my puppy to eat Kirkland anymore! Wasn't bad at first, then just
Stopped eating it unless I mixed things into it! I just purchased Canidae and both ate it like they were starving! :)

I love the Kirkland food

My 2 older boxers are on the grain-free Kirkland dog food. I did a lot of research before switching. They've been on it a year and I loooove it. They seem to have fewer digestive issues, less mess in the yard, beautiful coats, and I've read that grain free diets can help in reducing inflamation in arthritic dogs. Also, they love it.

For my new puppy, I chose to go with Kirkland's puppy food. It's not grain free, but I wanted to make sure that during this time that he was getting the proper fat and protein content for his little growing body. It got 4 out of 5 stars on the review site and costs about $15 for a 20lb bag...not bad! I will switch him over to the grain free as soon as he's 10 to 11 months, but for now, it's working out well. He really likes it, the ingredients are good, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Hope that helps!

Hello,

Our Leila is on GO! Sensitivity and Shine Salmon and loves it! Her coat is beautiful, stools are firm and energy is good (all things considered as she is dealing with an arthritic bone fracture). Great food. I am not sure what the hubub about Canola is as the internet is full of "opinions" but not alot of facts.

The Go! dry food received a 4 and a 5 star rating and they are a preservative free, hormone free, artificial anything free, no by products, corn, wheat, or soy or beef.

Good luck with your research, hope you find a food that works with your boxer!
