I just thought that I would share this kind of funny story. Long story short Duke is taking a steriod to help stop his foot from itching and to get him to stop chewing on it. Well it makes him drink lots of water, so he is peeing alot. Like every 2 hours he is having to RUN out and pee. Well this morning about 4am he got back up in bed with us like normal, laid down and went to sleep. Well he woke me up so it made me have to go potty. So I get up do my thing and he decided that now he needed to go. So I grab my robe, let him out, come back up get back in bed. So there I am climbing in to bed getting all snuggled up in my bed and I run my hand across something wet... so I turn the light on and there on my nice warm bed is a nice COLD wet pile of pee! Duke pee'd the bed last night! I wasnt mad I sat there a laughed about it. Thought it was really rather funny. Then I felt bad for him cause he didnt even have to wait to go out... I wonder if he had a dream that he was peeing and then did it.. I think we have all been there before...

Haha! That brought back some memories - when Asia was smaller, Mark woke up to get in the shower, then I guess I dozed off a bitt more and I woke up and put my hand where Mark had been and it was wet! I was like :o!! I looked on the floor and there was Asia sitting there waiting for me to wake up...she looked so sad, almost like she was like 'Sorry, Mom' (and she was like 3 months old) and I couldn't resist laughing and holding her!

Thanks for sharing your story - that is cute ;)

When Herkie was on prednisone I went through that all the time! Poor things....I think they do it in their sleep and can't help it. Just like babies!

My Diabla was attacked last spring and had to have emergecy surgery. When I got home my neighbor came over to help me for an hour or so because I have to run to the store and she was still waking up and groggy. Anyway Cindy laid down on the couch with Diabla. When I came back in Diabla was watching me and trying to come to me while I was putting stuff up. Then she was trying to get up and stand. Cindy wanted to keep her calm and told her to lay down. Cindy turn to me and said she is hot and...really (oh, no) wet. Poor Diabla need to potty. She felt so bad that she pottied on Cindy. She just slide off the couch and look up at her all sad. Cindy was soaking wet. She was a good sport about it. She just petted Diabla and I cleaned up. Then Cindy went to shower too. We now laugh about it. It is great to have good friends and sweet boxers.

Samson was going through this peeing stage when he was about a year old. He would just pee, he acted as if he had no control. Samson sqwats down to pee and he would not even sqwat. He would just stand there. I took him to the vet about it and they couldn't find anything wrong. So I call it a stage. But anyway, it had got so bad, he pee'd the bed too. He had no idea. I woke up and he was still laying there. He looked at me then realized what he did. You could tell he was upset about it and didn't go back on the bed for the next couple days. He slept on the floor next to his BIG comfy pillow! Like he was punishing himself.

Scrapper's Mom

Boxer Insane
Aw, this happened to poor Scrapper about six months ago. And it was my BRAND new comforter also. He looked SO embarrassed... I knew he felt terrible and he's usually so incredibly reliable. But you can't wash a king-size comforter in your home washer. So down to the laundry it went, I swear the thing was only a week or two old. *sigh*

LOL.....the SAME thing has happened to us on more than one occassion. Both times Sasha has been on steroids, she has pottied all over the house....and i swear she did go in her sleep several times too....i rolled over one night and she had gone at my feet(where she sleeps) and another time we got in the bed and she had gone on it earlier!! Thank goodness for 'simple solution!" Hope your babies foot is better soon!
