So I got into an arguement Friday night with my roommate and decided to go over to a girlfriend's house with Ace. We're hanging out in the garage and her idiot boyfriend starts pouring beer in Ace's mouth. I told him to quit and that he doesn't need that junk in his system. So what does he do? He does it again! I yell at him....again. I eventually had to put the leash back on Ace and kept him by my side. Eventually he apologizes and promises not to do it again. So I let Ace off. He then starts a little rough housing with him and does some boxing. But to get him riled up even more he grabs him by his tail and yanks on it! He's pulling my baby around by his tail and I'm yelling at him to quit with barely any response. It wasn't even play yanking....it looked mean. So I give him a warning and tell him we'll leave if he doesn't quit. All is good for a while but water gets spilt in the garage and there's now mud. I was wearing a brand new white hoodie (not the best idea but left home in a hurry) and the guy picks aces front paws off the ground and throws him on him. So now I have huge wet muddy paw prints all over my new hoodie and I am down right furious. I figured it wasn't Ace's fault and thus he shouldn't be pulled away from his now fun time. So I washed up the hoodie the best I could and sat down quietly. The final straw was when King Bonehead decided throwing a stick in the garage was a good idea. He ends up throwing way too high and hits a 10 foot long flourescent light bulb on the ceiling shattering it on top of Ace. I went straight over the wear he was, picked him up and marched right out of the garage. Spent over an hour picking little flecks of broken lightbulb out of his fur and paws, hopeing he didn't have any in his eyes or any cuts. Luckily we ended up fine.

Seriously, how genius can some people be? I don't plan on bringing him back over there again.

What a jerk, some people I think skipped the brain section on their way down here. So glad that nothing serious came from the broken glass. I sure hope this idiot never gets a pup of his own.

What a shame some people think of animals without feelings or that they get hurt. I would have a serious talk with your girlfriend. A talk about how she may want to reconsider this relationship. If a man can treat a dog with such aggressive behavior, how will he treat her? How will he treat their child if they decide to have one.

I would have kicked him in the shin, grabbed my little baby and walked out without a word. No one touches my babies with a hateful hand. If my friend wants to see me, then fine, but without the big bully around. But that's me.

What you have to consider, by not letting any of this type of behavior around your baby, is that it is saving you from a potential incident that could ultimately affect your dogs disposition in a negative way. Acts like that can turn a dog aggressive. Nothing is worse than watching someone big pick on someone so small.

Nonetheless, your baby is fine. You are fine, less a really cute hoodie. I'm sorry you had such a bad day. Just cuddle with your baby and know it gets better.

I'm glad Ace wasn't hurt. It was bad enough with beer, but this guy is really lucky that it wasn't me watching him pull Lou's tail- I would have busted his face wide open. Don't get me wrong I'm not aggressive or enjoy fighting, but Lou is like my best friend and a kid rolled into one. I don't know if I could take watching some a**hole do that to him without getting into a scrap with the guy. At least Ace is OK-sorry about your hoodie. Just curious about what your girlfriend thought about this while it was going on, or maybe she didn't see it.

Sorry you guys had to deal with a total idiot! I wonder if the jerk would like it if you were to pull him around by his ear, same difference! I am glad Ace wasnt hurt!

I hope you got the stains out if your hoodie! If you didnt I would make the idiot buy you a new one!

Sounds like a person no one wants to be around. And your girlfriend likes this guy? She didn't say anything? You stayed a lot longer than I would have. I would have been out of there the first beer incident. :(

Yeah. I don't know what she's doing with the guy anyways. I looked at her questioningly and she simply said "Oh, he just really likes pitbulls". I didn't really know what to say but responded with "That's great because Ace is a boxer, not a pit". She just said he wasn't really used to gentle playing with dogs and it was just his dimeanor.....either way, he's a jerk in my eyes.

I know I should have left a while before....when I first noticed Ace in a sense of danger but he's so social it would have been very saddening to him to leave all those other people behind.

Either way I plan on protecting my baby to the fullest extent and he won't be around that guy again. I don't care if I'm labeled the "Over protective dog owner". Better safe than sorry :)

Great - he's a "responsible" pit owner, too...... :)

LMAO! People like that keep our Rescues and Humane Societies in business!

Treats a pit puppy like that and by the time they are a year old, they be dragging him by his tail!
