6th day update - Road to Recovery
Good news...Lance Armstrong is still in the woods, but I can consider him on the ROAD TO RECOVERY!! Hurrah!
The doc and the staff are so excited! I'm so excited!
I called the vet this morning to get an update...LA is fiesty and wanting to play. His eyes aren't so red, and his ribs aren't sticking out so much. He's eating on his own, and his stool is soft, but it's not diarrhea. His Distemper titre came back negative.
They said he looks and is acting like...a puppy.
I'll keep everyone updated as I hear more. I'm going tomorrow after work to visit him. I asked the tech "What do we do now?" and she replied "We keep doing what we're doing...it's working."
Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. I've tried to keep this whole thing to myself...afraid folks would think I was crazy. When I finally told my mother about it and said that there was something that compelled me do it...she said she wasn't surprised. That it's folklore on her side of the family that when you help a white animal in need you're actually helping the soul of a departed loved one. That maybe my soul recognized another soul. She said that's why her grandma and my aunt would save white strays. She said if I want to believe that then maybe that's why I felt such an ugent need to help this white puppy. Not sure if I believe it or not, but am very grateful to St. Francis for hearing my prayers and for all your BW healing vibes and prayers.
