Aww poor baby. Just can't find a place to settle down. I hope all turns out well at the vets and all he needs is some food, medicine and lots and lots of love. Sending lots of healing thoughts and boxer wiggles his way. You did a good thing for this baby, no matter how it turns out you did your best.

You know everytime I get myself into a situation like this I tell myself "never again" but my heart breaks everytime I see a dog in need like that,and I find myself taking care of the situation. I believe you HAVE done the right thing!!
and try some rescue groups in Ohio also. You aren't that far away from here

Seriously, you are an angel for being proactive on this poor puppy's behalf. Clearly they had no intention of taking proper care of it and it's way better off. Who knows, if it had stayed one more night it would prolly be dead.

As far as the rescue group goes... Seriously, what is wrong with a deaf dog?? I have absolutely no problem with Pearl and you would never know she was deaf. They just have to be a little more vigilant about placing the pup.

Let us know what happens and know that these things usually have a way of working themselves out in the end.

What a sad storey,I wish I was not so far away, cause I would take the baby in a heart beat. I hate it when stuff like this happens, it's so unfair. I wish you nothing but the best, and congrats to you for the efforts you have made.

I don't know if you've already done this and I didn't check to see where you are from, but call another rescue!!!! Yes, rescues do turn down dogs if they don't have the funds or the room, but to turn one down because they are white, have a tail, and are deaf????? That's insane. I work with a rescue, I've fostered a deaf boxer (who was fantastic by the way....I loved her dearly and plan on getting a deafie when I can get my fence up to have more than two) and they truly are boxers first, deaf second...and easier to train since they don't have any distractions. And to not take a boxer because they have a tail? We've taken those too and they've been adopted out quickly. Poor pup....wish I was in the place to take on a third or I would love to help out.....

By the way, there are also deaf dog rescues--rescues specific to deaf dogs of all kinds, either pure bred or mutts, they don't care. And they take them from anywhere. I don't know if I can post an email address, but if you look up deaf dogs rescue or just deaf dogs online I'm sure you'll find a ton of information. Good luck!!

You DEFINITELY did the right thing!

No matter how this turns out, you helped the pup when he needed it most. Your heart told you what to do (and I personally believe God lets us know what we should do by this method) and you followed your heart. I know I would have done exactly the same thing!!!

Things have a way of working out, one way or the other. The little guy will at least be more comfortable and even if he has to be euthanized he will receive a loving good-bye instead of cold neglect.

I think that was awesome what you did! He is only a lil pup and if no one else cared for him, he is very lucky you did. I'm sure if he makes it through this, a rescue will help and he will find a home.
