Joe Millionaire!!!

I watched, and thought it was interesting, and very funny to see these girls falling all over this guy. I'm sure most of them wouldn't give him the time of day if they met him in his real element.

The salary thing is definitely curious. A person would make that salary working at a fast food joint. Very odd indeed.

Here's what I don't like about the show. The show is set up to disappoint the viewers and the participants. There are a couple of possible endings, and they will both suck for someone.
1. Joe Millionaire falls in love with a gold-digger. She finds out he's poor, and breaks his heart. Poor Joe.
2. Joe Millionaire falls in love with a sweet girl next door who loves him back for who he is (ya, right). Joe tells girl he's poor, and she's hurt that she was lied to the whole time, and also kinda bummed that they'll be penniless. Poor girl.

So, other than being funny, and a good trick to play on some gold-diggers and a big dumb lumberjack, what's the point?

Did anyone notice the part about his hands - one of the women even felt them. If he's really a millionaire, his hands should be smooth and not have calluses or rough sports!

I wonder how much money he got PAID to do this show! Obviously he had to quit his job for a while so he could jet off to France to lie to 20 women. LOLOLOL.

Yes, this is definitely one of those shows where you WANT the evil girl to win (Heidi) just so she can get what's coming to her. I really liked Zora too...maybe he'll fall in love with her for real and she won't care that he's not rich....

I don't know why, but he reminds me of Christopher Reeves. I think it's his height & broad shoulders, and also because Chris Reeves was into horses.

Speaking of which, it was funny when he slipped when he tried to get on the horse, hehe! I did feel bad for him too though.

Yeah, it's a pretty funny show. My hubby & I watch it, when we remember it's on.

But they (the tv show) are saying that he "came into the money" 2 years ago and was working class before that. I think they were right to go this way because NO ONE would mistake this guy for a born and raised millionaire.

UPDATE!

I don't know if you guys have heard the "Joe Millionaire Rumor"...but they've been talking about it on TV and the radio...that he really IS a millionaire, and the joke will be on US, the viewers in the end!

I don't know if its true or not, but they've been digging back in his past, and turns out he SOMETIMES does construction work for the company that his dad owns and he (Evan) has a house in California or something PLUS an apartment in Manhattan??? Doesn't sound like a poor guy to me!

I thought it was odd...his last name is Marriott...as in the hotel chain...maybe he could have some ties to that?? Who knows...but don't forget to watch it tonight!:p

I heard something about that on the radio this morning. They were saying, that in the city where Evan *supposedly* works at the construction job, the average salary is $35xxx - nowhere near the $19xxx they claim he makes. I thought that figure was a tad too low. This sucks! Here, I thought this show is a great way to show materialism and have someone get burned in the process, but the only people getting burned may be us!! It'll be interesting to see if this is the case.

I doubt it. He had those girls picking grapes, shoveling coal into a train, and cleaning horse stalls. That was great! Some of them seemed like they might be nice. Most of them looked like gold diggers. The one to get the last necklace was looking awfully proud to get her get her necklace while she laughed at the ones who didn't. This could get interesting before he reveals his paycheck.
