Latest with Jake
So sorry to read about Jake. I'm on this forum because I'm desperately reading all I can about brain tumors in Boxers. We have a beautiful 7 year old boy Hoss who we are quite certain has one as well. He is not there anymore. Very hard to get him off the guest bedroom bed he has claimed. He's snapped at us a few times, actually bit the vet tech when we took him in about 3 wks ago to find out what was going on with this behavior. He's been really slow lately with everything - eating, drinking, moving about like he can't remember what he was going to do. It's heartbreaking. We are so used to getting the kidney bean greeting whenever we walk in the door, haven't seen that in weeks and I miss it so much. All he wants to do is sleep. We became really concerned when his third eyelid became very visible and it looked like he was hurting to even open his eyes. That's when we took him in and after full body x-rays and blood work to rule out everything else the vet said most likely this is what we're up against. He seems to be drooling quite a bit and even drippy nose. Anybody else having those symptoms too? Also noticed some trembling/shaking with his body.
Wondering what's the latest with Jake. I'm sad right there with you. I just can't believe that I'll most likely have to put my little buddy down.
