Sneding healing vibes for your boy! Just keep taking care of him and give him as much love and safety as possible and he should come out of it but it may take some time if he was badly traumatized like that. Sorry that happened to him and you.

That is suspose to be a dog shelter!! I can not believe they would treat your pet that way. I thought shelters took the best possible care of animals.

Update on Toby

Today is Wednesday this has been a very long and hard week, Toby went to vet last Saturday night(ER Hospital for dogs after hours) Anyway he was very dehydrated and his foot was swollen again, new medicine and more watching if he don't start eating. Monday morning wife takes him to our vet, they put him in hospital for test, one vet says his foot is infected again and has some kind of bad worm. Tuesday morning the owner of the practice comes in and does blood work, My buddy has PARVO, that just riped my heart out, he said even dogs older than him has come down with it, he's not even 2 yrs old yet, IV running in his veins throwing up some blood and some in his stool, very runie and bad smell. Vet said it takes about a week from when they first start with the throwing up and bad stool, today is wed, it has been 5 long hard days, I go see him as much as I can, I know he is a fighter and I really feel as if he will make it throu this, Vet told me he got it at the shelter, from the test he did. The help is great with him and when I see him he perks up and wags that nub at me, helps their spirits the vet said.It's hard believe me too see him like this... Just thought I'd let you all know how things are going....

Poor buddy Toby!!! I'm so sorry he's had that baaaad experience! It's not only horrible he had to go to jail, but also he go Parvo from the experience! Trixxie sends big slobber kisses to him, and you guys are in my thoughts an prayers while he (any you) recovers!

I'm so sorry to hear he came down with Parvo=( Sending boxer vibes and prayers that he can pull through. Tell him he has tons of prayers and well wishes coming to him over the miles from everyone here and that he needs to get better so we can start hearing some of his GOOD stories.

I am so sorry to hear about Toby. I am sending healing vibes and boxer kisses for him. I am curious as to why they had to even keep him at the shelter? I know when my old dog Dreyfuss got loose one time I was allowed to take him home right away (after I payed a hefty fine for "allowing" my dog to run loose). I am sending big (((((hugs))))) for you and prayers.
