Happy Anniversary, Monique!
I know how you feel about missing your man. Roberto was in Lake Placid for 4 days last week and it seemed like forever! Worst thing is he was supposed to call me when he got there and he didn't. I was scared to death. After they passed Albany NY his cell phone didn't work, and I didn't have the number where they were staying. So many things went thru my mind and I was a mess. Finally he called at 11:00 the next morning. Boy, did I tear him a new one!

Colleen, he called me late last night, so he's not in trouble. He's a sweetie, and I knew he wouldn't forget. It was just hard to wait all day to talk to him!

Funny story - today is my brother's anniversary. He (Paul) and his wife (Becca) got married the day after we did. Two weddings in one weekend - AND we were all in each other's weddings. Paul played piano and arranged all the music for my wedding, and Becca was one of my bridesmaids. Then the next day, Jared and I came back from our wedding night to be in their wedding as a groomsman and bridesmaid. And the weddings were at different churches with different decorations and everything! Talk about exhausting! But I wouldn't trade those memories for the world. Paul and I have always been best friends and have even worked together for the past 5 years, so it was perfectly fitting! :)

Thanks again for all the anniversary wishes!

Monique, so glad he called even though I know you still miss him. You guys will be back together soon enough. The story about the weddings is something. Did you guys go on the same honeymoons? Do you live close by each other? Its almost like getting married twice!

We did NOT go on the same honeymoons. No way! In fact, Paul and Becca did not even really get a honeymoon (see reason below). But for a night or two, we stayed at 2 different old victorian hotels in town that were owned by the same person, so the morning after Paul's wedding, Jared and I had breakfast sent over to their room with a note that said "To the Rees's from the Griffith's."

Paul and I were the only 2 employees working for the same boss, a photographer, and he could not let both of us be gone at the same time. Paul knew this, and still decided to get married the same weekend as Jared and me. We do live close by each other - maybe a 35 minute drive away from each other's houses. :)

Wow, two weddings in a row. Well, that is exhausting. I wouldn't have minded it either if it was my brother's.;) That is an easy way to remember his anniversary. When do you go back home Monique? Glad Jared called - maybe he has something special planned for you guys. You must miss Stella and Chewy too. Again, Happy Anniversary.:)

Linda, I'm flying home late Monday night. We'll probably celebrate on Tuesday night. Doubt he has anything real big planned. He's a sweetheart, but has a tough time thinking of romantic things to do. Plus we're broke! :p I'll be happy if we can just cuddle by the fire and watch "Sweet Home Alabama" and eat some pizza. :)

I miss Chewy and Stella like crazy! My grandparents have a little Schnauzer named Arfy, and she's a cutie, but no replacement for my own kids! Can't wait to get home and see their crazy wiggle butts!:D

I agree, just spending time together is fun. I hear you, I think guys do have a hard time of thinking of romantic things. My husband is not romantic either, he always asks me for gift ideas. Which I hate, since I am never surprised. That is great, you will be home Tuesday to celebrate and Friday is Valentine's day. There is another thread on chit chat that someone posted a website and it gives you some neat ideas for Valentine's Day that you don't need to spend money. Thought it was a neat sight. Check it out.

I got home at midnight last night, and boy was I exhausted. We haven't had our "romantic evening at home" just yet as I was super nauseated sick last night. But Jared showed me his anniversary gift for me, and I was so happy! Now, don't go thinking it was jewelry or anything like that. He has been working on our master bathroom (my bathroom) for the past several days. He completely re-finished our 25 year old shower and it looks brand spanking new! I actually thought it was a new shower! He even patched up some cracked dry wall above it. He took off the shower doors and still is going to completely clean them and shine them up to look perfect for me. It sounds silly, but I cried! I was so surprised and happy. He almost never does home improvement projects, and only does them when I beg him. This shower hasn't worked in almost a year, and just got repaired, and he went and made it beautiful just for me!:) :) :) :) :) :) Now I get to paint in there, and put a new floor in and it will be gorgeous. I'm so happy!!

Our romantic evening at home will likely be tonight. Yay! It's good to be home, and it's good to be married to my sweet, sweet hubby!!!
