It's lymphoma... I'm heartbroken

I wish I could make some profound statement that will help during this sad time but it's never an easy decision to make. You are Abby's hero. You opened your home to her and gave her love and safety when she most needed it. We should all be blessed to have our boxers for 13 years. You will be in my thoughts and prayers that when the time comes, she passes peacefully.

I remember you and Abby. I am very sorry to hear this sad news. I really don't know what else to say but you and Abby will be in my thoughts and prayers. Make each day you have left with her wonderful. We wish they can live forever and their lives on earth are way too short, but almost 13 is a milestone for a boxer. So sorry you received such terrible news. It's been 2 1/2 years since I had to put Samson (my lab) down and I still question whether I waited to long or not long enough. Just know when the time comes you've done great things for/with her and she will always be remembered.

Thanks everyone. I think it's time. She's falling a lot and really having a hard time getting up. I can't stop crying. We are going to help her to the bridge tonight.

I'm so sorry. Our buddy just got the lymphoma diagnosis too. It seems like you were your dog's true hero from the beginning to the end though and that you knew when the time was right. You've got many good years of memories to keep with you.
