The other day, my husband and I were at my Mom's house playing outside with Muggsey. A jeep drove by, got to the stop sign, and put in reverse and came back to us. The woman got out of her car and ran over to us asking us how old Muggsey was, and she was loving all over him. She actually has two boxers and was so excited to see another boxer in the neighborhood. Then, we were at the doggie park, and a woman came up to us and was sooo excited to see a boxer. She said that she and her friend had seen us pulling in one day when they were leaving, and were upset that they had missed us. Her friend has a boxer and she said she was going to be so upset when she told her that she got to play with the puppy!! I said to my husband, it has to be a boxer thing. I dont think anyone ever put their car in reverse to ask how old their lab or their golden was. This happens to us when we are stopped in traffic too. People rolling down their windows and shouting to us about how wonderful boxers are!!! We all know that now don't we!!!

The same things happens to me all the time too, especially with a white boxer!

I think boxer lovers are just a bit on the "obsessive" side :) I know I sure am about my dogs and I've done the same things myself, rolling down my window and yelling ("Nice Boxer!") when driving by a boxer, chasing after other boxers on the street.

The other evening we were walking along a busy street on the sidewalk and a BIG MERCEDES BENZ, black with blackened windows pulled up beside us and slowed to our pace. I looked over, expecting someone to ask directions or something, and the back window slooooly rolled down and in the back seat, looking at my girls was a Big Ole Boxer Boy, slobbering and drooling all over the car! We all said hi to the Benz Boxer. The driver never rolled down the window so I could see anthing but the Boxer. The window rolled up and off they went.

I guess the driver just stopped so Mr. Benz Boxer could check out my good lookin' girls!!

And you're right, I don't see anyone ever driving by and screaming "Love Your Lab!" out of their car windows.

Boxers Forever!!

Oh yeah! I'm as bad as these people you describe. When we're on vacations without our babies, we point at every Boxer we see and try to pet as many as we can.

It happens to me all of the time as well. Everyone stops and wants to pet Molly, and she LOVES every second of it. Also, I will stop and talk to ANYONE that has a boxer.

It is definitely a boxer thing! Just the other week I took Jewellee to Dairy Queen for ice cream (no, she's not spoiled  ) and as we were pulling away a family started pointing at the car so I stopped and rolled down the car window so they could see her. Turns out they were on vacatioin and had boxers at home. They missed thier furbabies and were just so happy to see one and get to pet her. Jewellee even gave the kids a big sloppy kiss each!

I love boxer people!!!!:D

Completely Boxer Crazy

Tulsa Dan.....yeah I think we're all just a little obsessive. Your story is hilarious!

Clara gets sooo much attention during our walks. She just gets so excited and happy to be loved on by total strangers, just beaning all over the place. But her protective side is really starting to show too. If she hears someone outside, she's at attention at the door and growling, same thing if a car pulls up. That's my baby!

I can totally relate. Whenever I take Duke out we end up talking to practically everyone who sees him. Its okay though, we like meeting lots of people.

:D Sadoe get tons and tons of attention... if we arent at the campground for the weekend, people actually ask my parents where the "boxerbaby" is. If we go out for a ride and stop at a light people will whistle at Sadie and talk to her! Everyone that sees her wants to pet and love her to death. If we are without Sadie somewhere and see a boxer... of course hubby and I HAVE to stop and play with him/her. arent they the most wonderful little babies?!;)
