Its OK to cry but also remember all the good times you shared with Linus. Its been a year since we let Willy go to the bridge too. I know how you feel.

Oh, I remember when I read that Linus passed last year. I was so choked up for you. I knew that sometime soon I'd be posting about Blizzy going to the Bridge. My angelicon Blizzy left us on December 26th last year and I know EXACLY how you feel..trully I do. (my Blizzy was a beautiful white baby too).

Of course you'll cry, its only natural and I'd be willing to be in years to come, you will always remember that date. But as time passes, as I've realized, you can think of the lost one and laugh and smile instead of cry and grieve. They are healthy happy pups once again, they are at that Bridge watching over us and waiting until the day comes that they can walk at our sides again.

Run free sweet, sweet Linus. Give my angel a kiss and hug. Linus watch over your mommy and family..they miss you very much.

Thanks to everyone who wrote. In the past 12 months we have been able to remember the good times with Linus without crying. Yesterday was hard because it was such a horrible day 12 months ago.

Cruiser has helped us heal in a way. He makes us laugh as Linus did and has the same Boxer exuberance and "traits". I was just sitting here reading all of your replies and Cruiser is sitting on the bed, looking out of the window..... and passing gas. <<SIGH>> Thank God for Boxers.

So I will end this tribute here but will continue to remember my sweet Linus for the rest of my days.

Now I need to go and post in the puppy forum to try and get some help on taming this 8 month old beast that I have.......

Again, thanks to all of you for your kind words,
Hugs to all of you who have lost your babies.

I too remember when Linus went to the bridge. Time passes so quickly and it is so hard not having them with us. There will be a time you meet your friend again lovicon I lost my Vexxor just a few months before Linus passed. Somedays I feel like I haven't seen him in years and others I feel like he is still here. I still can't look at his pictures without getting a lump in my throat. I am glad having Cruiser in your life has added more love and laughes. (((((hugs))))

I also am going though this and feel your pain. I can only echo what everyone else has said and tell you we are all here to support each other.
I lost my Caesar last September and some days the pain feels like it just happened. Even though I still have 3 boxers I miss Caesar so, so much. I still have Brandi, Caesar's sister and I look at her and see him all the time.
I remember reading about everybody else's losses and not even being able to reply. In fact I really haven't participated in much of anything in the past year. I think this is only the third time I have posted here since then.
I know our fur angels would want us not to be so sad and remember the good times they shared with us.angelicon
