We have Cassius, our indoor totally 100% spoiled boxer. Then we have Lio & Lui our outdoor hunting dogs (They "belong" to my DH). They are German Shorthair Pointers, and well they aren't really "people" dogs. I know all of you boxer owners know what a "people" dog is.....totally devoted to you. Lio & Lui have a great life, big fenced in yard yummy food, chickens to chase ect. But I do have this feeling of guilt wackicon, for the lifestyle of my precious Cassius. I was wondering if any of you have another "breed" at home and if so are you just as passionate about that dog as you are about your boxer??? I hope I'm not the only one who is toooo crazy about my boxer!

Besides Ozzy I have Ryker a 7 year old Rottie and he's just as special, he's very smart and a big couch potato. I love both of them equally.

I have a Rat Terrier and a Border Collie Mix who were bith rescues. I have to admit that at first I wasn't as in love with Bitsey(rat), but now she is my special little girl. She just had to grow on me. As far as my other rescue Bull ( Border)its sort of the same thing I love him already, but its a little harder to be as crazy aot him as the others as he is so scared of everytrhing. He won't allow you to get close most of the time, and he certainly won't cuddle with you where the others Beau and Stella(Boxers) and Bitsey all fight for position to sit in a lap. I try and be sensitive to Bull being he is so timid because no telling what he went through before he got rescued. I'm sure it won't be long until he will be a full fledged child in my mind. I can say this though at least at this point in time, Boxers are the only breed I know I will for sure always have at least one of, probably two though.

I have 2 small dogs that I got first because I thought house dogs should be small. I love all 4 of my dogs to pieces, but I get accused of loving the boxers more all the time. Maybe it is because I love to "boxer stalk", collect ANYTHING with a boxer on it, and talk about the boxers non stop! I will admit the boxer breed is my favorite, but I still love my first babies and do my best to spoil everyone equally.

I absolutely adore my Mia, she is a boston terrier and has so much spunk! Small as she is she takes no crap from anybody! I love to dress her in pink things that she always gets dirty while wrestling around like the "terror" she is. I love her with all my heart!

I have to say that I love(d) both of my boys equally. Both had such different personalities it was amazing. I believe my bondwith Herkie was stronger than with Kuma, not because I didn't try to have the same bond, though. Kuma was born outside and had abosolutely no human contact until we rescued him, so he always had a bit of the "wild" instinct in him. I know he loved me just as much as I loved him, but he had his moods and only wanted to be bothered with me, when he wanted to be bothered. :) Kuma didn't like all the constant human contact that Herkie insists upon, and I believe a lot of it was because he was so furry, he just got too hot. I always said Herkie was my high maintenance boy, and Kuma the low maintenance one. And I mean that in every sense of the words....Herkie is high maintenance as far as attention, feeding, health...etc. Kuma was totally the opposite! 2 totally different breeds, 2 different bonds....but equal love.

min pin

I had wanted a miniature pinscher for so long - when I got Kevlar I fell in love, and that continues to this day. I am so enamored with my little guy that I tell him and anyone else who wants to hear it - all the time. Siren, our boxer, I adore - but I'm not nearly as close to her in the same way I am my little bug. HOwever, if I didn't love her dearly I wouldn't put up with all her crap. I am closer to her in some ways because she's a girl though - and a lot of times in our house we declare it girls against boys. :) So I guess I love them equally, but very differently!

Boxer Pal
We have two cocker spaniel puppies in addition to our boxer. Sasha (boxer) was first and the only one for about 3 years and we did special her and try to explain / warn her that the two were coming so that she wouldn't feel less special. My wife had wanted cockers for some time and I have to admit, at first, I did love our Sasha more than the puppies. However, they have grown on me quite a bit and Sasha adores "her" puppies. Now, the all get to be on the bed and they all tear through the house playing. I can't imagine not having the little guys around with our boxer and we love them just as much as we love the boxer. Each one has it's very distinct personality and we couldn't do without either of them.

I love my Brandy dearly and I do spoil her a tab bit more than my other two dogs but that is not becuase I do not love them all the same because I do it's just that Brandy is older and better trained then my other two and that is why she is more spoiled right now. I am hoping that will change as the other two get older. Brandy does sleep with me at night and my other two are crated at night for they still go potty in the house at night if they are loose in my bedroom. I'm going to let them sleep in the bedroom tomorrow night and I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that all goes well otherwise my DH won't let them back in the bedroom at night again... But I do love them all and yes their personalities are different but Brandy is the "mom" and takes care of the little ones.

We have Ginger, our 1 yr old boxer, and BUddy,a 3 yr old mutt. They are about the same size although he's fatter. I love them both the same and treat them both the same. But Ginger has more "personality". Buddy gets to be loose in the house when we're not home but Ginger has not reached that point yet.
