I've had my little minpin Sage since she was 8wks old. She has been with me for the last 5 years thru lots of ups and downs and I love her more than life itself. We have a bond that can't be broken. But I love Simba just as much. He came into my life when I needed a big cuddly love bug. He is my shadow and keeps me knowing I am safe. But as this is a Boxer forum I'm sure it always seems as we love our Boxers more but I'm sure we all love our dogs in their own special way! :)

Yes....

I have an Akita that lives at the farm with my parents. We tried to bring her to city with us but she has known nothing but farm life since we brought her home and she wasn't doing well here. So...reluctanly we took her back but that's where she's happy. If she were here she would absolutely be just as rotten as Coco is. When I go to the farm which is pretty regularly, Babi gets special treats and lots of love & hugs and I always spend some alone quality time with her while I"m there. She always "talks" to us when we pull in the drive. She does this whiny growl thing and her tail goes ninety to nothing. Mom says she only does that when we're around and when we leave she gets all down & blue for about a day. However, she is always glad to have this little annoying pesky boxer pup leave so she will quit jumping at her all the time..lolol

Our other dog is our Dalmatian Jasper and he's just as special as Koda.

The only difference is, Jasper is totally my husbands dog and Koda is totally my dog. But they are both as spoiled as can be.

I had Bailey, my miniature dachshund, for 2 years before I got Beau in November. He was the only four-legged love of my life and spoiled rotten. Now I have two loves and a bigger heart because of it. I love them both equally, even though I do have a special love for Bailey since he is my first dog as an adult. I don't show favoritism in front of them, though! They are both terribly spoiled and loved more than a lot of humans.

Lancerella

Boxer Booster
We have a Dobermann and a boxer. I love both, but feel for poor Dobbie , because Dad is all Boxer, boxer, boxer. He loves Timber, I know but he is sooooo in to Lance.. Special voice, special kisses, special hugs...Timber is more a "loner"= goes to the bedroom to lick himself... Lance does not leave our side. Timber is skinny, with liver problems, Lance is "on the fat side" with knee problems..But we love both dogs, and spoil them both.

Sorry, have to admit to having a favorite

I have 2 small rescue dogs as well as Baily - a purebred boxer female I got from the local pound. The other two are nice pets but Baily is our 4th child. She is the best behaved dog I have ever known. If I take her anywhere and there are children there she brightens up immediately and starts wiggling her stub and butt. She adores them. She is great with dogs and cats, never growls or shows aggression to anyone. What can I say? It blows my mind that her previous owners surrendered her at the pound. She was completely housebroken, doesn't chew and immediately stops and comes back to you when you call her. She loves to give hugs and kisses, especially to kids. Her only vice is that she is a very sloppy eater and likes to dump her food on the floor before eating it - but who cares? I had no idea how great boxers are when I got her, I was looking for a Lab or Rotty but those sad eyes were just too much to ignore!

Completely Boxer Crazy
Interesting

Ill try not to ramble. Ive worked with a girl for about twenty years, ( God , am I old enough to say that ) Anyway, she knew my hubbie and I were totally dog people and that we had two Boxers, her daughter was 13 at the time and had lost her dog to cancer and was devistated, my boss asked me if I knew of any boxers that they could purchase for her daughter. Spud had been with his owner for ten months and his owner got cancer and died, so my breeder took him back, of course, we placed him with my bosses family, she likes animals but she is NOT a dog person, she is very kind to them , but, its not her 'thing". That was about ten years ago and Spud is up there palyin with my Dylan, but do you know of all the dogs my boss and her kids have had over the years, she still goes on and on about Spud and how he was sooooooooooooooooooooooo, not like any other dog they'd ever had, I think they leave that much of a mark on you, I guess it makes me feel good to because Im not the only one that feels that. We love any and all animals, but, what an experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
