Johann met his first toddler a few weeks ago. I was worried because he's such a boisterous boy, and I was on crutches so I wasn't going to be able to intervene very well.

Johann loved the kid. Mostly loved her toys.....he stole hers, she carried his kong around the house and tried to figure it out. Not once did he try to jump, box, etc. He did give a lot of kisses and stole the kids socks off her feet.

My neighbors daughter is about 4 years old and loves to talk to Rocky. I was nervous when she came running up to me when I was in the front yard with him on the leash (most of their communication was through a chain link fence and Rocky is only 6 months old) although he will play rough with my 13yo niece he was a complete angel. I got her to stop about 3’ outside his reach and I put him in a sit. I allowed Rocky to approach her slowly (he listens better than she does) and he actually crawled the last foot so not too look intimidating. He couldn’t resist giving her a few doggy kisses and he did scare her when he leaned against her (ya he is a leaner) but as soon as she stepped back he ducked down to lure her closer again. I was so proud of him. He usually goes wide open at everyone and everything but he just seemed to know. That same night he crawled (this is a great new trick he learned) up to 2 Havoniese (sp?) puppies at puppy class and let them jump all over him.

Side note… I came home from work last week and she met me in the front yard saying come look at Rocky playing in his waterfall I made him…. I was like no you didn’t. Yep she stuck my hose though the fence and turned it on. I looked and the back yard was a mudhole. While I was having a conversation with her about my water bill (thinking I couldn’t get any madder) her comes Rocky around the corner covered in mud. I looked at her and said do you want to give my dog a bath (stupid) She yells out Mommy I am going in Steve’s house to give Rocky a bath. After a short conversation with her mother, I had to go in and give Rocky his second bath in 2 days.
