Yeah Nellie weighed 53 pounds last week at the vet. She is 7 months old now. We do not feed our dogs ANYTHING extra at all. (Except for some treats here and there) Her parents were pretty big dogs. Striker weighs 63, he doesn't seem like he eats that much compared to Nellie, but he isn't too skinny. I hear that the girls grow faster than the boys. I dunno. Striker's mom was 65-70 pounds and his Dad was 85.
I hate to see people whose boxers are huge, and they are so proud, but wouldn't you worry about their health more??? I would rather keep my dogs on a dog food diet, and have them fill in naturally, as time progresses, then for them to be big. I have heard that many boxers still grow and fill in till they are 3 years old.
