how do i know if my pup is a boxer

we found our abby while we were fishing she was skinny,dirty and had a broken leg. the vet says he thinks shes a boxer but he didnt sound sure. how do i find out.

hi just viewed the piccies of your baby girl, first, she is gorgeous, such a cutie and second, not entirely shore, i think she definatly has boxer in her, i could be wrong

maybe look out for characteristics (traits)
does she have bad gas!!!
does she boxer burn!!
does she kidney dance!!
does she snore!!
.....etc

if any of the above, then i'd say she is definatly boxer!!

She looks like she could be part boxer. Is her coloring mostly black?
I see some fawn and white coloring, but most of her looks black.
She sure is adorable.

She certainly doesn't look to be purebred.
It's hard to tell her color. Is it brindle (fawn w/ black stripes) or is it black? It also looks as though her legs have a white, brown and black portion? Boxers only come in 3 colors...brindle (fawn with stripes), fawn and white.
And yes! her muzzle is not a typical boxer length (but as you can see in many pictures throughout the gallery the boxer muzzle varies usually depending on breeding practices). She may be a boxer mix, as Mckenzine said just look for the boxer traits .

What ever she is she is really cute lovicon
And even though she may not be a boxer this website can certainly help you with any puppy problems/questions you may have.

Her color doesn't look boxer - more boxer mixed with Swiss Mountain dog - she is absolutely adorable though! Who could abandon such a cutie! I'm sure she will bring you much joy and love! Congratulations and what a wonderful thing you have done by bringing her into your home!

I guess when I first saw your post your pics just weren't approved yet! I was just too quick Well, first let me say your baby is such a cutie! How sad for the poor little thing that she was lost and injured...lucky for her though that you found her! She's definately not a pure boxer, but she could have some in her No matter what she is, she's gorgeous and I wish you tons of happiness with your little girl!
