Is my Angel small?

I wouldn't worry one bit unless she seems unhealthy. Trying to get her bigger can do more harm than good. I would let nature take it's course. From what I have read a dogs size is not altered by making it get there any faster. If she is going to be a 50lb Boxer than that's what she'll be no matter if it takes her 1 year or 3 years to get there. My Pru is small for a Boxer. She is 48 lbs at 17 months and hasn't gained a pound since she was about 12 months. It's possible Pru will still fill out more, I'll just wait and see. I can't make her a healthy 70 lb Boxer if her genetic make up says she's not.

I just wanted to tell you that my Vera is 3 and a half years old and she only weighs 35-40 pounds now. She was the runt of the litter and has stayed petite, we like her that way though, she's cute as a button! I only wish she didn't hog the bed like she was a BIG baby!

I agree with everyone else, boxers vary in size, and as long as she's healthy and the vet agrees, I wouldn't worry. The gravy on food is a good idea, also I used to use chicken broth.....Joey, my boy is 5 1/2 months and weighed in at 42 lbs today......

You shouldnt be too worried about her. Boxers can change very fast. For example Brutus our male at 9 weeks wieghed 12 lbs, this was the same time we brought Lila our female home she was only 5 weeks however she wieghed 16.5 lbs and had been eating dry food for almost 2 weeks.

But things changed in a hurry our very large rolly polly girl became a medium sized shaply young woman, she is now 9 months old and weighs 42 lbs. Brutus went through an extreme change from his scrawny 12 lbs showing (he was the 2nd smallest dog in the litter) at 9 weeks to his gigantic size he is now. He is almost 10 months old and last week he wieghed 87 lbs he is a monster and he is still very skinny Im nervous to see how big he will be when he fills out. He is also about 6 inches taller than Lila.

So you never know how they will turn out when they are babies.

Wow! Eric that is one big Dog. I guess it really does not matter as long as they are eating. I am extremely excited to see if she is going to be petite. Either way you gotta love them.

My little Pénéloppe was 9.3 pounds last tuesday and now, one week later she already gain one pound ( 10.2)! She is nine weeks old.

I agree, if the vet says she's healthy I would feel okay with her size. As far as her being a fussy eater we are in the same boat. Our 20 week old female (37 lbs)is a very fussy eater. We feed her Nutro Max Puppy dry with Nutro Max Puppy soft mixed in, then I sprinkle a little Parmesan Cheese on top and that usually entices her to eat a little extra.

Boxers come in all sizes. Maggie is only 7 1/2 mo. old and weighs in at 50 lbs. She's gonna be a big girl. However, there are several fully grown boxers in our park who are about the same size as Maggie is now. And one or two that she's bigger than. And there are plenty that are very large too. Her friend Genghis is HUGE! I've seen some I thought were mastiffs because they were so large too.

As long as your dog is healthy and eating and drinking, it will be the size it is gonna be and you shouldn't worry about it.

Jazmine was 12 lbs at 8 weeks when I picked her up. I still think she looks a little thin. My 8 week old Chase I think is small too. He will get weighed on Monday when he goes to the vet.
