I agree. That price is very reasonable. Whatever it is, once you have your wonderful baby, they are simply priceless!

we paid $300.00 for duke and he was sick his entire life. (solid white, docked tail, floppy ears)

we bought bruno and dixie form a breader here in town for $350.00 each. (bruno fawn docked tail, floppy ears, dixie brindle docked tail, floppy ears,) both guarantee health.

I am ok paying that much for him but my hubby is the one who says its too much because he only paid $250.00 for our Sinbad 10 yrs ago.

That reminds me of a relative who paid that much for a scottish terrier that had a poor temperment and he wondered why?? He did learn from it though, the next dog they got they did much more research and used a professional breeder..

I gave a $200 donation to the Breeder's local Boxer Rescue for my white female 5 years ago. Her parents were all health tested. I paid $700 for my brindle male almost 3 years ago. He too came from health tested parents.

that's a reasonable price, its funny because the boxers in our area from reputable breeders seem to be less expenisve here than in other parts of the country. Anyways what i think is funny is our first boxer was 600 dollars and we thought that was steep now having our second 600 dollars I would pay almost any price to have boxers. As flashjackson said earlier...they are pricelss.

Actually I was thinking it was remarkably inexpensive :) Obviously, prices will always vary by area, so the advice of someone fairly near to you is the most valuable, but anytime this sort of topic has come up on the board in the past, prices tend to be closer to the $1000-1500 range for puppies from properly health tested stock.

A white puppy may be a little cheaper than his coloured littermates, but really, it isn't likely to be all that much. A white puppy cost exactly the same to produce and raise as his coloured littermates... ;)

I have to agree, white puppies are slightly cheaper than coloured ones, but all depends on the quality of the pups really: not all coloured boxer pups are good quality and that is usually reflected on the price, same goes for the white ones too. White boxer is a matter of preference these days, since most of us buy puppies to be pets; white coat does not necessary mean that the puppy is a result of poor breeding (25% of the litter when both parents are flashy are likely to be white), I would have a look at the puppy's pedigree and if his parents were health tested - a good puppy always costs more (although it sometimes may be a trap), and it will reflect on it's appearance, health and character!

I paid $585 for my first boxer, and he went blind is his left eye at nine weeks, has had two reconstructive knee surgeries, and cancer. I paid $2500 for my second boxer and have not taken him to the Vet once in his 3 years with me.
