I paid that much for Jade and she was not health tested or anything. She wasn't even from a reputable breeder. I got her before I understood about byb's. I wouldn't trade her for the world, but I wouldn't buy from a byb again.

Before I got Baxter, other breeders had told me they did health testing only to find out when I asked for proof, they hadn't. Price sounds very reasonable if the testing was in fact done.

that is a really cheap price.i am in northern cali, up by redding and if you can even find boxers around here they go from $950.00-1400.00!! i would jump on
$550:D if of couse they are proven to be healthy and parents tested.

We paid $400 for Houston, all white floppy ears, sooooooooooo cute!! Anyway, he is definetly from a reputable breeder, the breeder is a vet also, all the health testing was done and he was treated like his flashy show litter mates. I know we live in a diffrerent area but, the Boxers her go for $1600 for a pet, upwards to $2,500 for show and like I said Houston was $400 and all of that money went to a Boxer Foundation to help cure cancer in them and also heart disease. So I think it's a great price, as long as the health testing was done I would have paid $1,600 for Houston, ( Im glad we didn't have to

I thought ethical breeders charge only what will cover the vet bills for the white pups since they cant ethically "sell" them. I have heard of some that take a donation for the loical boxer rescue for their white pups......

The ABC has guidelines about this and white boxers should only be sold for the amount it cost to raise (vet bills, etc.). No profit is to be made.

Gosh $550 from a breeder is pretty good. I paid $400 for my chopper and we got him from the rescue. i guess i got jipped but thats ok id do it again.

I paid $550 for mine...I live in NJ and got her from Kansas. Breeders in my area wanted no less than $900 but most were $1200. $550 is a very good price IMO.

For a health-tested pup, that is an excellent price!!!! I say go for it!
