Since we got Ruby in November, we have been working so hard on house training. Someone always had to be in the room w/ her. WEll, I think she's finally trained!! Yesterday, while the kids were home and I was at work, my daughter left the house and thought my son was going to watch Ruby, so she didn't put her in the crate. WEll, 1-1/2 hours later, when I got home, Ruby came to greet me but no kids were around. That was interesting. I called for my son and he was upstairs. She thought my daughter put Ruby in the crate. Anyway, we searched all over the house for piles or wet spots...and there were NONE!! Yipee!! But as I walked in the kitchen, Ruby ran and sat by the door to go outside. And she went immediately!! Good Ruby!!!
This sure is a good feeling!! (Although, I wouldn't let her alone again for that amount of time. She's being crate trained.:D

Congratulations. I remember that first time Maggie woke me up in the middle of the night and ran to the front door to go out. It was amazing and I was soooooooooooo proud of her!

Keep up the good work!!

Well Folks, you won't believe what happened about 10 minutes after I posted this topic???
Ruby was standing by the door, so we knew she wanted to go out. Just then, my teenager son came into the room and said something which caused a discussion.( Imagine that!!) And yes, we were focused on him. Well, that's all it took. We looked up, and poor Ruby had made a pee trail that must have been about 2 yards long. It looked like she knew she wasn't suppose to do that and just couldn't hold it any longer!
Oh well!! I know...from now on.....when she is by the door... take her out immediately!!

Really, thats great, you should be proud of your Ruby. :)

I can't wait for the day Tyson decides to make me proud. We're going through a rebellious stage right now.
