Im not sure why I buy toys...

So Boomer is as spoiled as it comes, hes our first dog ever and man it shows!!! He has a bucket of toys that the whole family buys him and my friends bring toys and treats when they visit him. Well he now has a new favorite toy, it used to be his booda rope, its a plastic bottle!!! He played with my diet coke bottle for two hours!!!! He was panting when he was finished. I have never seen him pant beofre, it was quite a site!!! I thought it was a fluke and then today the same thing happened. I couldnt even open my bottle of water without him woo-wooing for it. Just thought Id share my goofy story with everyone!

Oh My! I started giving Muggs old water bottles but it got to the point where if I was drinking something out of a bottle I had to either hold it and have him mouth attached to my hand all night or pour it in a glass. I do not give them to him anymore as he will steal them full or not. I swear I could never buy another toy again with all the socks and water bottles at my house.

Coco loves bottles too. If you have a drink in one, she'll sit there and stare at you because she wants it. The other day I came in from the store and put a 2 liter down by the fridge where I always do, when I came back through with more groceries, Coco was sitting there gnawing on the lid & licking it....silly boxer! Needless to say, I won't be keeping them there anymore, have to keep them out of reach until they're empty.

Mine also love plastic bottles, any size will do until it`s flattened out and won`t roll anymore, be sure to cut the safety seals off of them with a pair of scissors before giving it to them this could result in a nasty choking hazzard.
Max & Abby also enjoy to take any empty gallon size jug from water or milk into the back yard and beat it to smitherines, the handle is perfect for them to get a good grip on, then the chase is on.

Princess LOVES plastic bottles.. .. she will go looking through the trash until she finds one.. it can be a real pain sometimes..

R.J. loves plastic bottles too. Four litre milk jugs are his favorite. He even cries and woo woos when you leave a partially full jug of milk on the counter!

I know why we buy toys...so they can tear them up, ha! Delilah will play catch for a few weeks with a new toy, then it gets the "treatment." It will end up with a missing eye, nose, ear, etc... . She especially loves the squeaky toys. Tyra, well, she likes to chew toys, especially the kind that is less rubbery. She will bite them into little bits. I actually have to remove them from her when they get too small. Spike follows Tyra's suit. Samson, well, he isn't a "toy" man, ha! We don't have many toys that are not toys (bottles, etc...). I have to watch them like hawks so that none of our belongings become toys.

All the purchased toys end up being destroyed or ignored in the toy bucket. My two love things they "find" like dryer sheets or scraps of wood or a piece of rope.

If you want to wear out your boxer, take two empty milk cartons and tie them together with a piece of rope 4-6 fee long and place in driveway with dog. Rocky would attack on milk carton with would immediately cause the one on the other end to move. He would then attack the second one (because it moved so therefore must be conquered) which (you know what is coming) causes the first one to move so he then attacks it and back and forth and back and forth. He did eventually lay down between them with a look of defeat that was kind of pathetic.

Put the "game" away for a week and it will be a new adventure again next time.

I know exactly what you mean. I bought Chey a toy today but all she wanted was my bottle. Its just like with skin kids when they are little you can buy them a toy and they want the box it came in.
