Update on my mom
Thanks for all your prayers. I spent the night again at the nursing home. Mom is on morphine and oxygen. She is resting comfortably for the most part. Her voice is very weak and it is very hard to understand what she is trying to say. The amazing thing is that she knows all the grandchildren who she used to get mixed up before she got sick. Nicole who visited regularly and my son Chris who is home from Calgary for a visit, she knew all the time. They both spent a lot of time with her and dad and they are both taking it very hard. Nicole and I are going in again shortly. Nicole has to work tonight and wants to see her before she goes to work. Chris goes back to Calgary tomorrow but at least he got home to see her. I have four other brothers and I also have a sister who was born severley mentally handicapped who my mother cared for over 30 years until she had to place her in a nursing home. She is still alive. Mom also buried 3 of her children. The doors of heaven are open and waiting for this sweet soul. You'll never miss a mother's love until she's buried beneath the clay.
