IL boxer bash?!?!

My guy is 4 months old, I'd be willing to head into the city for a play date. I am off on Friday's so if that works, I could make it to a city park in about 1/2 hour or so in the late morning. Know of any good fenced in parks ?

There is one that I like, but a lot of people dont. It is landscaped. Not a lot of grass, but concrete and gravel. It's fenced but small. When we were there, there was sprinklers and things, the dogs LOVED playing in. But that was summer, I dont know if theyd have them out now.

Sorry, I dont know where it is and cant remember the name. I know it was right by the lake, on the other side of lake shore drive.

I found it online, maybe you can Google Chicago Dog Parks. For some reason, I am thinking the name starts with M, or maybe thats the street name. Or maybe I am just confused

Okay I googled and I was thinking Montrose beach for the M. This park is not a beach, its an actuall small fenced in area. I think it might be wiggly field dog park, its the only other one i see.

Van Horne looks to be closed for construction on the nasty road that runs alongside. I am free this weekend, but that is the only one that is near me, and even that is 30-40 miles away. The only one that doesnt require permit, i should say..

If anybody wants to go this weekend, I can check if the park is closed or just the road is on my way home, and post tonight?

If that doesnt work, count us out until spring.

Is anyone up in northern Il?

There are about 4 nice dog parks up here. If anyone was ever interested I'd be willing to meet up here somewhere. If you are concerned about the fee, you could meet me and go in my car that has a sticker and you would not have to pay for just going for the one time. They are in Lake County, and all fenced in. I go almost every day. I am new to this forum, and have a 6 month old male, Cody.

I cant Sat b/c going to MO to pick up new dog. Mid morning is fine if you want to. I might go just on my own anyway if nobody shows, since our yard isnt fenced. Maybe Harley/new puppy can get to know each other there.
