my dog mollie has a lump on her back. the vet saw her 2 weeks ago and i am taking mollie to see her tommorow.
this lump has double the size in two weeks and earlier today mollie was itchy and was rolling on her back and it started to bleed alot.
i am so worried.
until she has the biopsy done i will not know if this is a fatty lump or a mast cell tumour.

please reply if your dog has had this kind of lump and if it bleeds is that a bad sign??
i am so down about my lovely dog mollie.

thankyou maureen

In my experience *some* tumors to tend to bleed more than just getting a mild cut. They have a blood supply.
Some mast cell tumors will ulcerate, open up and bleed.
Just because this lump is bleeding doesn't mean it is a tumor but the issue with it getting larger would be a sign of concern for me.
On the flip side perhaps it is a cyst of some sort, grew quite quickly and then ruptured?
Let us know what the vet has to say!

Good luck with Mollie sending her all kinds of healing thoughts and hugsgrouphugicon!!!
I know that without exam and biopsy you can't be sure what it is, but I do know that histiocytomas tend to bleed easily and they are benign...
Let us know how you make out...
