Great thread!
I totally relate to these posts, especially Sidda1018 and all the slobber notes...and...
- I wouldn't have to get up 40 minutes earlier than I used to every morning to feed them, wash bowls, give the morning rub downs, and take them outside
- wouldn't have to brush 3 sets of teeth most nights
- wouldn't have been sore for 3 days from falling down the stairs since I slipped in the dog pee
- wouldn't have come up with "do your thing" as the "go" word for potty and stand there at 5:00 am and 11:00 pm saying it over and over
- wouldn'thave to tell every visitor "just say off!" before them come in the house
- wouldn't skip parties or other functions because I know I'll sit there daydreaming about being with my babies
- ignore huge yellow/brown patches on my lawn while maticulously manicuring the rest of it
- chat with the girls at the vet's office like they are family
- get up at 2:30 every night since Jake caught kennel cough to "just be sure" he's breathing normally-even though it's been weeks
- I'd never get to suck up Boxer jowls with the hand held vacuum
- wouldn't carry cookies and tissues(for eye boogies) in my bathrobe pockets
- wouldn't walk around with obvious scratches on my legs from my welcome home greetings
MOst of all, wouldn't know how truly wonderful it is to be loved by such incredible dogs. So glad I have people to share these feelings with!!
