1) I could walk around safely barefoot in the dark.

2) My house could be carpeted instead of tiled and laminated.

3) All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture and cars would be free of dog hair.

4) When the doorbell rang, it wouldn't sound like the SPCA kennels.

5) When the doorbell rang, I could get to the door without wading thru four or five dog bodies who beat me there.

6) I could sit how I wanted to on the couch without taking into consideration where several little fur bodies would need to get.

7) I would not have strange presents under my Christmas tree ...like dog bones and stuffed animals; and have to answer to people who ask why I wrap them up.

8) I would not be on a first name basis with a vet.

9) The most used words in my vocabulary would not be Potty, Outside, Sit, Down, Come, NO, GET DOWN, and Leave him/her ALONE.

10) My house would not be cordoned off into zones with baby gates.

11) My purse would not contain things like poop pick up bags and dog treats.

12) I would no longer have to spell the words B-A-L-L, T-R-E-A-T-S, O-U-T-S-I-D-E, and F-R-I-S-B-E-E.

13) I would not buy weird things to stuff into "kongs," or have to explain why I'm buying them, or what a "kong" is.

14) I would not have as many leaves and Pine Straw INSIDE my house as outside.

15) I would not look strangely at people who think having their ONE dog ties them down too much.

16) I would not have to answer the question Why do I have so many dogs? from people who will never have the joy in their life of knowing they are loved unconditionally by something as close to an angel as they will ever get. Who else has a friend who considers you the MOST important
thing in the whole wide world all the time???

That is very cute. Thank you for sharing :) Here are a few that I just must add.

1) My legs would not constanly be getting slobbered on

2) My walls and celings would not have dried slober on them

3) I would have room in my bed for me

4) I wouldnt have to keep a spare blanket on the side of the bed so I wont disturb them when I want to cover up.

and last but not least

5) I wouldnt have to explain why I have so many toys in my house and back yard but I dont have any kids

oh, yeah

I can totally relate to the Laminate and Tile Floor issue. Carpet is a thing of my past - Funniest thing to see is when Buster 'burns out' on the laminate. It takes him a minute to get traction enough to move. Everytime he does it I hear, 'Boogety, Boogety, Boogety' in my mind - off of Scooby Doo....

Very cute thread Ladyluck_t!!
If I didn't have Rocco...
1. I wouldn't have to come home to THIS or THIS. (Bless the person who created the crate!!! :) )
2. I wouldn't have to fight for A Seat On The Couch.
3. I wouldn't have to turn blue as often from holding my breath from the wonderful Boxer Gas. (If holding your breath was an Olympic Sport, I'd have the gold medal by now)
4. I wouldn't have to explain to my co workers why I have peanut butter stuck to my butt! (from the Kong I was stuffing before I left work) :o That was quite the story for a few days....
5. BUT, If I didn't fall in love with this Face that with love and time turned into this One, I wouldn't know how much love a Boxer could bring to you.

Wonderful post!

If I didn't have my boxers:

1) I would never have to explain to another person that those "big dogs" that they say shouldn't be in my house are my fur-babies that I love as mcuh as children.

2) I don't watch much tv, but I could watch tv without a boxer standing in front of me blocking my view. And, just because THEY want attention.

3) I could go outside without hearing the heavy breathing, or snorting, going on inside the storm door. This sounds like a truck letting out it's air brakes actually.

4) I could put up the food and water dishes and never have to slide on slimey droplets of water on the floor again (LOL).

5) I wouldn't have to lock the ice and water on the outside of the refrigerator door again. I wouldn't have to worry about a boxer pushing the buttons and helping themselves again.

6) I wouldn't have to put the cordless phone up so a boxer wouldn't answer it.

7) I would have a very lonely house. Very sad to think about.

8) I wouldn't have instant entertainment and love.

9) I wouldn't ever have another boxer bash in my living room.

10) My bed would be much colder.

Gosh...I would go nuts! My husband would be sad. What more can I say? I've raised my kids and now I have BOXERS!!!

Nice Thread!!

If I didn't have Emma the boxer, I'd never

1. nearly break my neck on the wet, slobbered kitchen floor

2. get to talk like a freak...booboo,muuummmaaa,poopiee

3. get to pick up warm, steamy, mushy poop at 3 a.m.

4. get to sop up doggie peepee from my bed..icckkk

5. get to referee the doggie/kitty interactions

6. get to develop at least one roll of film every month and fill doggie albums.

7. get to plan a Scooby Doo themed 1st birthday bash

8. But, most importantly, I'd never get to hear my extended family ask "what are you going to be like when you have kids?"

I love my Emmabooboo so much!!

I'd never get to:

1. Spend more on dog food and treats than I do for groceries.

2. Tell all company about how the dogs are just trying to welcome them and that I'll get them some paper towels to wipe off the slobber.

3. Put on nice clothes to go out and then dodge slobbery mouths till time to leave.

4. Go to a friend's home or be out for the evening and be thinking of my babies stuck home missing me.

5. Take a bath with boxer tongues lapping at the water.

6. Have more daily conversations with the dogs than I do with humans.

7. Become a boxer stalker and look forward to driving by strangers' homes where I know boxers live just to see them in their yards.

I could go on and on, this is such a fun thread
