If allergic to Canidae, then what food?

In knowing that my local store sells Solid Gold brand foods, would any of those varieties be better than the others to try? I was thinking either the Hund-n-Flocken Adult Dog (lamb) or Mmillennia Beef & Barley Adult or WolfKing Adult Dog (bison). Are any of these better than the others? Also, Kaybie is almost 10 months old, so it's ok to put her on adult food rather than puppy food right? Thanks.

Some of the Solid Gold varieties get great reviews here. I haven't tried any personally.
I'd stick with the adult varieties.

You could try Natural Balance...they have:

Ultra (lamb meal, chicken, duck)
Duck and Potato
Sweet Potatoes and Fish
Venison and Brown Rice

I tried giving my dog a sample of Solid Gold Hund-N-Flocken and he would not touch it at all...not even take a bite. So much for that one! But your dog may like it. All dogs are different (like people) I was thinking of rotating with the Mmillenia but I am not sure if he would like that one either?

You could try Merrick Cowboy cookout (beef no chicken). That's what I have my boys on now Some of their other foods have alot of the same ingredients in Canidae so stay clear of that. But just as another option.

Beau is allergic to Canidae

We feed him California Natural Sweet Potato and Herring. Beau has done very well on this food. It costs about the same as Canidae. The only downfall is that it smells like fish food! :eek:

By process of elimination. We knew he was allergic to something he was consuming.

He seems to be allergic to chicken, and Canidae has chicken. When we feed him food that contains chicken he has very loose watery diarrhea and sometimes even vomits.

You should try Timberwolf Organics. I have been feeding my two the Black forest one for almost 2 months now and I have to say of all the premium kibbles I have tried this is the best. Its the first time I have found a food that both my dogs do well on. Their stools are just of a perfect consistency and much smaller. Their coats look fantastic and my female who tends to be itchy and chew her feet a lot is doing great on this food.

It is expensive but worth it in my opinion also you need to feed less so a bag goes further
