We always have a little party. They get chicken and we get a cake or cupcakes - vanilla flavored, of course, not chocolate -and they get to share in that. Sometimes they get a toy but Zeke is a toy killer so that doesn't happen very often anymore! We've never had other dogs - just family. :)

I keep it simple for my pups. My dogs have different personalities, so for one a trip to the Barkery (a dog bakery) because he loves to eat and he loves car rides so we take an extra long drive. The other loves fetch so a trip to a park with a new toy or ball, or maybe go on a hike.

I know a lot of people do cakes and such, but with low-fat, grain-free diets we are limited on that front.

We partied for Dutch :) I invited my mom and dad and their two boxers, Molly and Blaze, and I also invited Dutch's breeder and her pups, since she is a friend. :) Unfortunately, no one was able to come, but I still made a cake for us to eat, and had a meatloaf cupcake with mashed potato "frosting" for Dutch. The intent was a big puppy playdate.....and I hope that we can make it happen when he is 2! :) A friend of mine thru her dog a party at a local dog park....it was lots of fun too. :)

We took Enzo to Brewster's Ice Cream. They give dogs a free scoop of vanilla with a doggie treat in it. He enjoyed it!

Our local trainer/daycare will organize a dog birthday party with doggie cake and everything. We have not done it but check around your area.

We have had several parties for GDOGS and all our other dogs prior to him.We usually have a cookout and invite family and friends with their dogs over.Never had any issues just sometimes our house gets a little crowded if its in the winter time.I usually cook up something just for the dogs to enjoy while all the people are having what I made for them
