Okay.... now just a curious question coming out here...... I've never had the pleasure of witnessing an ice-berg first hand.... How long do they typically last out in the waters?

Icebergs come in the spring around April. They are here usually until early June depending on the year and how many come in. This year we have alot of bergs and a lot of people particularly from China and France who come to go out on the tour boats to get a first hand look and get pics. After the icebergs go it's whale time. I do love the whales and how they put on marvelous shows. They are here usually from late June to late August.

That would be so cool! Maybe you'll be able to catch pics of the whales too???? ;)

Awesome pictures! DH keeps trying to get me to visit Alaska (just the thought makes me shiver), maybe after seeing these, he'll consent to Nfld instead!

I'm with you there. I bet Alaska is magnificent but not for me. A lot of people actually confuse Newfoundland with Alaska which is totally incorrect. We are the most easterly province in Canada. We are not north at all. Northern Canada would be up in Edmonton, Ft. McMurray, etc. For me going south would be my choice of holiday and I go to Florida nearly every year. But for those who come here they love. It's very unique.

Beautiful photos. My mom has been in Alaska for the last week - another week to go! I can't wait to see her iceberg photos as they were in a boat that got rather close to one. Even though it's different sides of the continent I hope the ones she saw were as beautiful as the ones near you.
