I have a part-time job I give away FREE candles (PartyLite)and I was doing a show demo last night. I was standing by this big window and accross the street in a small fenced in yard I see this beautiful dark flashy brindle male. I was so excited-I just wanted to excuse myself and run accross the street. He was beautiful! My hostess said the lady (that owned the boxer) might come to the party. So, the whole time I was looking out the window (they had put the boxer inside) But I was HOPING the lady would come to the party-just so I can talk to her about her boxer! Anyway, I found out that the Hostess whos sister was their owned a 15 week old flashy fawn. So, I was excited to talk to her. But she didnt seem as excited about BOXERS as I was....She said she might have a show-I told her I would love to meet Turbo! Isnt it funny how "we freak out" when we see a boxer? Doesn't matter when and where! IT'S A BOXER!

My little sister is about to purchase her first home and a few days ago, she took me to her development to check it out. As we are driving slowly through, we came upon two ladies talking and the one had a handsome brindle male. I start to get excited and my sister begs me not to stop, "Rob, she might be one of my neighbors and then she'll think I'm as weird as you!" LOL ......I stopped anyway but the lady was also not as excited about Boxers as we all are! Her loss!

There are three houses in our neighborhood that have boxers.

Two of them we rarely see (one is quite old and one has a very different walk schedule than we have), but the other one is often out in his fenced in yard, and I have to admit, we walk that route every day and go extra slow by the house so I can scan the yard to see if he's out there, all the while I'm hoping that other neighbors don't see me and think I'm some suspicious character looking to rob the house or steal the dog!

In the several months we've been there, I've never yet met the owners, but I'm always hoping someone will be in the driveway or going out to get the paper or something so I can strike up a conversation and we can finally meet him up close!

How can you own a boxer and not love them like we do?

There are 4 white boxers, 2 reverse brindle , 5 brindle and 6 fawn, and 2 checked boxers in my neighborhood. All of them, but three live on the same road as me. When I drive past their houses I'm always scanning their yards. The sad thing is I know they're always outside none of them stay inside and I feel so bad for the dogs especially the white ones. I know these people don't feel the same way about their dogs as I do and it's disappointing because I want someone to swamp stories with and to take my dogs to play with them.

We do the same thing when we see a boxer - although we usually always stop. That is how we found the male we bred Sheba with. He had all the qualities we were looking for that Sheba was a little lacking in - I know what everyone says about byb, but we were so picky and glad we were, one of our pups has just won in a local show where they live.

Our goal was to improve the breed - enough about me defending myself

Anyway. . .back to the topic - I love to see boxers and do get upset as well when you see the tied up all day outside - I almost want to go up and take them.

Usually we can tell it is a boxer first by its behavior then how it looks (haha) all that energy

We are the boxer lovers

At the moment the road outside my house is being dug up to lay new pipes. This means the two way traffic is reduced to one way with traffic lights.
Monty stands on the wall at the end of our garden watching all the traffic watching him. I can hear them blowing kisses to him and shouting "look at the beautiful boxer".
If I'm in the garden its "whats his name age etc", its like having a celebrity living here. Many of them are too busy watching him they miss the lights changing.
I'm just the same though, I can't pass a boxer without speaking to it.

It is like we are in a secret club or something, like we are the only ones that know that these dogs are the BEST!!

I have one boxer and i get stopped all the time. I've been stop at the 7-11,on walks by a ton of people driving around and even in stores. I talk with the boxer owners in my neigherhood. And we all are crazy about them. There are 13 Boxers around my block. I walk by every day to see if there out. I freak out if i see one out and I talk to it and say hello. And i know they would do the say if Bailey was out.
