Our prayers & thoughts are with you. Semmi is so lucky to have such a beautiful and loving family, take joy in knowing that you have given her such a wonderful life so far and that you are by her side no matter what. There are not many ppl in the world like you & your family and the others on this site. It breaks my heart to read what you are going through but be strong and make the most of every second that you have with your beloved baby.

We had a fairly good weekend this weekend.
I have knocked the prednisone back to one tablet a day...she started wetting her bed at night and wasn't waking me up. I don't know if it was due to the cancer, or due to the prednisone, but since I cut it back from 1 1/2 tablets to just one, we haven't had any bed wetting.
She had a rough afternoon yesterday...she couldn't settle down, was pacing and panting constantly. I finally gave her the pain pill at about 6pm, a little early, and within an hour, she was knocked out.
Hubby is picking up the refill today, and we'll see where the next week takes us.
She is still happy and smiling and eating well...just seems a little disoriented at times and quite anxious a lot of the time.
Just waiting for her to tell us when it is time.

Hang in there! Sounds like you are really being outstanding parents and keeping her welfare first! I wouldn't be afraid to give her pain meds when she needs them, that's what they are for and they'll help her enjoy life more. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!!!!

I just came across this thread. I have no idea how I missed it. I am so sorry for what you and your family are going through. Please give her one of those great big Boxer hugs for us. What you are going through reminds me so much of when we went through almost the same thing with our male Rottie, Thor. It is so hard . I hope she continues to do well and be happy. Prayers and Boxer wiggles are coming your way.

Just checking in to see how you guys were doing. Rocky & I have had 2 bad nights. We were up and down all night and we ended up on the couch. He just can't seem to get comfortable. Right now he is snoring and laying on my bed. I give him his medication about 6:30pm and he goes to sleep but wakes up about the time I get to sleep. So I better get off of here and get to bed. I am tired from last night...healing vibes and prayers to you and boxer baby.

i could barely read the post through my tears. Im so sorry your baby is ill. I love that you have a positive attitude through this all and are making your baby as comfy as possible. You will all be in my thoughts.
